I dont understand how anyone can be in a relationship, its hard enough to work on yourself let alone a joint project.

Because when you find the right person, you both elevate each other and help each other grow. There is so much power in great relationships.

I would like to echo Christina’s response. You’re not working on anyone else, just yourself - and in reality, the “work” is not to change, but understand and accept yourself fully. If something in you changes, great, and if it does not, great - that is not the point. The point is acceptance, which is true love - unconditional love. The more you love yourself, the more you are able to love others, which is actually the greatest gift, because loving feels so good! It’s not for their benefit, it’s for you, for the pleasure of it. When you are devoted to loving yourself, you will attract another who is devoted the same way - one who reflects you in your love of self. Loving that person is easy, obvious, and will push you into loving yourself more and more deeply. You journey together - they are a playmate, your playmate, your mate in all things. Not you, and yet they are you, and the more you know yourself the more you will know them - the more you know, the more you love - the more you love, the more you love yourself - the more you love yourself, the more of yourself you want to know. The cycle repeats forever. This is love. This is what drives our very existence, and all life. ❤

For the same reason that we have any relationship… to share the experience of being alive with another in an intimate way, heightening the experience overall. It is a great mirror for identifying the cycles referred to in this video. Most of my greatest growth has come out of my marriage, precisely because it is challenging.

This is somewhat like the dunning-Kruger effect. People like you who work on themselves are the ones most suitable for relationships, yet many self-serving people are the ones in relationships, because they don’t see it as something special.

That is true too. I feel it as a test, then a confirmation, and then a demonstration of your best abilities. then it becomes one day like another. It’s like driving, when you start every time you cross another car you are afraid, is there enough room to pass? Am I in the middle? Why I come across so many cars, it’s annoying! (like OMG I came across 20 cars today, I am cursed!) After 2 years of driving experience, you don’t even notice the other cars if they just go their way. That’s become normal.

Only things that live in darkness have power over me, so I'll share my number one trigger: being invalidated. After that, it's not being seen/heard/understood/my value recognized. These triggers result in big volcanic anger that lasts for days and even weeks. Often, one person comes along and triggers them all at once, sending me into a debilitating state of anger for long periods at a time. I swear this happens every couple of months now. All I can do is meditate and reflect...I hope I find the solution soon. 🙏
@johnbishop9000
@johnbishop9000 27 күн бұрын
We invalidate our self when we do not listen or pay attention to our intuition. Ask yourself why you are angry when another does not validate you or does not listen to you, or does not pay attention to you, when you do not even pay attention to your self, do not listen to your self, do not validate your self? No need to reply here. Anger is a frustrated desire to acquire something we want, yet the real need is to Know Thy Self.

Your Ego is asking for Attention. Recognize it, Accept it, integrate it but you dont have to embody it! Its a part of you and you should not try ignore or resist. The true Power is in the observing and the choice of how you embody your aspects.
@JUPITER11119
@JUPITER11119 21 күн бұрын
I think these commenters think that I'm talking about "validation seeking." I am not. Have you ever been invalidated before? For example, have you ever expressed to someone that they hurt you, and they told you that your feelings were invalid? Has someone you love ever refused to hear you? Have you ever been so unseen that you feel invisible to others? Did you grow up feeling chronically misunderstood? Do the people you enter into relationships with ever see the value you bring to the world? If the answer is no, please refrain from giving advice--and suggesting that I have a bloated ego. Being invalidated is one of the most emotionally abusive experiences a person can have.

You have to learn how to value “me” more than “you” or “I” because “I” and “you “ will never prioritize “me” once you can love “me” more than anything you will stand up for and protect it and then you won’t have these problems. ❤

Yup, learn never to say "what next" this just invites more issues. What Shi says 'anger & jealousy' is always a challenge. If it is not us or me it is the other or others. It is a very human thing. Recognize the feeling and consider, why? Yup there are so many flavors of nonsense. True, good thoughts can be cultivated. This is fun - part of life - ah yes - but if the instance is important and valid - and we know it then chase it. Absolutely, learning to recognize the valid and accurate messages is part of self mastery. Very true. If you would rather I don't make or take notes, I can unplug - I learned that from Shi Heng Yi. Well, lets be gentle, have a little less rigor, Okay, When we learn our kata, our routines it comes like dance or flow - We don't fight with it, we embrace - the/this moment. For me it comes and goes. Dedication - quiet contemplation - there we go! Isolation and calm. True this. Been there - I try to fix it so I have next to nothing - hard to take from me or tax. I try to sleep but it is elusive, the world is a whacky place - potential for malfunction remains high. Each day is a gift, this is why they all it the present. Thanks Doc - I needed a bit of encouragement. I have the feeling the ups and downs are part of the road of life. It is if nothing else, a good workout. I have not forgotten you my friend, friends - I work for a broad spectrum of clients. The first passes are simple, low hanging fruit. Each step, to the stars, mastering each new technology is if nothing else time consuming. Better for me to teach to share to show how it is done and let the teams pick up the slack. I got a vision, odd dream the message was keep moving. This leaves a lot of room for interpretation. Sfat. Between you and me - I am okay - I see you. I'm sitting outside what used to be the Francis Scott Key bridge, as you recall, toes in the sand. That was a mess - The Army Core of Engineers are working cleanup, almost done with the worst of it. You saw the planted video - there are forces at work that 1) Don't play fair 2) Do not work or play with others & 3) Are hell bent on bringing down democracy. No lie. This is not the place to go into collateral damage, the innocent in war being unable to identify treachery. It has been this way throughout time. It takes strong men and women, disciplined and God fearing _ at a minimum spiritual - intelligent & properly trained to stand, to become or be part of the light. This why I alike Shi Heng Yi and the work you do. My martial art is weak - body, mind and spirit. I am old and the medication sucks - these are simple facts, time is short - The day before my Dad died. I left the house before I did I asked "How are you doing?" he said "I am on the last chapter of my book." Oh, "I hope it is a good book, Love you. Good night." See you never know so say the words to those close to you, or far away - over the internet - no Anger or Jealous - Shi Heng Yi - I love you. In this there is no shame. You have taught me many things, more over allowed me to grow in my own way, as a good gardener, a friend, should. Thank you. Good night.

One of the best YT video I saw recently, such wise words should be heard by everyone, but like he said nothing is a coincidence. It everyone understand this (and I still don't, but I'm trying) and not identify themselves so much with the ego, the emotions, we could have a world with less anger, feminicides, and other kinds of violence

Sometimes I feel like my trauma has ruined me. Like I can't have any type of relationship without feelings of suspicion or like the other is betraying me in some way. Rather than show me I have nothing to fear, simply having a speculation would cause them to be upset. I isolate and have very few people i speak to. I recently felt betrayed by my support worker. And because I literally don't know how to not be open, i just prevent intersecting with her or well everyone. But I really really need connection with people. I speak to God, and the angels all day long, and my higher self. I even speak to my ex, who has ghosted me. But it isn't the same. I'm just feeling the effects of dissonance really badly.

i been in this cycle of abandonment like tide up to the past then become dependent and i always escape to see maybe its more greener on the other side yet it feels like its just same again and again until i realize that im done running and just stay where i am there i realize like you said its always a test in our character, now im in relationship even though its not perfect but i believe this hold the key for me to mold and evolve thats why i stay and just wait for the right moment till the solution comes while im in this relationship ill just love myself as who i am while loving my partner for who his is and be kind just accept and allow and forcing to change the situation, this is the recipe for detachment. now im more observant in my action and my words not like before always get frustrated cause i want my other half to change but nope im with him to learn and grow myself.

Indeed, some people come into our lives for one reason: to test us, again, again and again. Unfortunately, before understanding the real reason, we go through all the emotions! The solution of a retirement far from all this tumult is the ideal choice for me.
