What a time to listen to this! I am aspiring to self-master my mind, my emotions. All my life I struggled with low self-worth and fear of abandonment due to my childhood wounds...and I have been healing myself this whole year and finally feeling what it really feels to be free. I have stopped fearing people, stopped feeling insecure if will they love me or accept me or not. I have finally stopped seeking validation from outside and I feel so free. And I haven’t felt more free in my life. Letting go of fears is very important to become free.

How did you do this exactly?I have similar emotions.Ihave spiraled so out of control and am at the verge of losing my wife which has been with me for over 20 yrs.I have not spoken with my son that lives with us in the same home for about a year now.I have been addicted to alcohol and prescription pills for a long time.I think I have OCD and borderline personality disorder.It’s weird because I know what I have to do and how to move but can’t connect it to to actually applying the thought to action.I keep saying that I know I can change and do it, but keep procrastinating.I have been in pain for so long and feel like screaming and crying so much because I feel like a robot that’s been programmed to a certain level of thought.I know that there’s more out there and I can feel the vibes,,, it just feels like my mind can’t think past it although I know there more.I need help please. Ig: bx_fighter (I have a face mask on)I just want to surround myself with people that keep going, don’t give up and help each other out.Thanks for the comments as it has helped just put a crack in the ice.

Man, the way he speaks calmly and the voice he has got, its the best one.
@belove56622 жыл бұрын
Without discipline you cannot be free. When you do whatever you feel like when you feel like it, you are simply following your passing emotional states and your passing thoughts. That means you are actually lead by your thoughts and your emotions, this is not freedom. You are under the control of thoughts and emotions you have not consciously chosen. On top of this, thoughts and emotions are very much and very often triggered by outside events and circumstances. so, outside influences dictate your thoughts and emotions, then your thoughts and emotions control your actions....On the other hand, if you give yourself a chosen, conscious routine and train yourself to follow it, you are now taming your states of mind and emoti, and you become free from outside influences too, for the majority of the time you have. Now, your time belongs to you, you can build the life you want to have and you can have the experiences you wish to have. This is true freedom. This is my understanding of the teachings... Thanking Master Shi Heng Yi for the wisdom and encouragements Eternal Love to all the seekers of inner and outer peace, ...and to everyone else :)

I attended a 100km/24h march recently and finished it. My whole body was in pain and the one part in my mind told me to stop walking. The other part said „keep on walking and finish“. That is what I understand under „restrict yourself and ignore the minds thoughts“. Enduring this pain and the mind’s dark places during that march gave me strength and made me feel free from physical restrictions. After all I would call it a spiritual experience and enlightenment that showed me how to overcome obstacles and how to endure hardships due to pure willpower.

On the Martial Art side of things I have dabbled over the decades in different arts, and came across Wing Chun as a result of studying JKD for a short while. In doing so I found that I had a passion in the Wing Chun element of JKD, and so became a member of that art. I have a very good Sifu. That said the physical element is only just a part of the bigger picture, The Spiritual element. It's still early doors but I am climbing that mountain, and I hope to see you at the top. Truly living life is the quest. I love this topic, and the approach. Less truly is more. I’ve learned in my journey not to believe the first thing that pops in my head. And sometimes no reaction, is the most perfect reaction. I know now that this journey is personal. I must take personal time to sit with my thoughts, with no outside influence to really be aware and to step back and observe. My ego can be of great help, but it can also be of immense hinderance.
