This man gets it. Every other review of this truck is “inside is just too basic,” well yea upgrade to the z71 or zr2 if you want the additional bells and whistles. I opted for the Trail Boss to save a few extra bucks and I think it looks better visually vs the z71.

There's a "hot button" always at the top of the infotainment system for headlight controls, no matter what menu you're in. You don't have to navigate through the menu. Just use that top button and you immediately get to your headlight On / off / auto settings.

6:52 YOUR ARE 100% WRONG YOU DONT HAVE TO GO INTO THE MENU,,,THAT LITTLE ROUND BUTTON IS WHAT YOU TOUCH AND IT PULLS UP THE HEADLIGHT INFO,,,,,I FIGURED IT OUT ON MY OWN,, my 02 Silverado lights come on automatically,,no option to turn them off,,I’m glad Chevy gives you away to turn them off,,,this is a positive not a negative😂

This is the truck I wanted 50 years ago. Check out the trucks/SUVs we had back then and you'll see this is a gem...manual everything on those back then, like the Scout. Yes, a truck that is a truck and not a wanna-be limo. I have a 2018 Silverado 2wd and I drive it off road on tne farm, but the suspension is not made for it. I'm keeping the Silverado, but my wife wants a Cadillac ride and likes the RAM with its coil spring suspension. Please do another vid on the Colorado saying it has the ride of a ''72 Caddy, LOL.

I've had my Trail Boss about a month now and I've put about 750 miles on it. Mine is basically the same build as the one in the video, minus the storage in the tailgate. I've been tracking my fuel economy on the mychevy app and I've been getting between 23 and 24 mpg. Granted, i have a very light foot when it comes to acceleration, so that may affect it. I'm with you on the simplicity of the truck. I absolutely love that part. I'm not constantly worried about getting it dirty, as plastic is easy to clean. As for things i don't like about it, the main one is that there's no option to turn off the seatbelt chime. The other is that remote start doesn't come stock (I'm having it installed on mine next week for about $350).

Best review I’ve seen of this truck so far! Been looking at getting a midsize truck and after test driving and pricing the competition, I’m in total agreement. This is the best value in the segment (for now!) and what I plan on going with. I’ve been contemplating waiting for the new Tacoma, but realistically I don’t think it will be priced this low, and personally I prefer the styling of this truck anyway. I’ve never been a Chevy guy, but this one just might’ve swayed me. If you’ve already bought one let me know your thoughts!

funny...have a rental Colorado LT 4x4 and found myself building one online because I was like "wow" (not WOW, but wow). built a 2LT and a 3LT and a TB. the TB is definitely more understated but comes with less "city truck" stuff. $40k-$43k was my finishing point for all trucks. the TB is acceptable and isn't that far off a 2LT.

Love my 2023 Colorado trail boss in velocity blue color wirh bigger 275/65R18 Goodyear territory m/t tires. It gets way better fuel economy over what i got in my 2022 Tacoma trd off road truck. It was fun driving my Colorado up on holston.mounta7n forestry roads last weekend in northeast Tennessee. This weekend I plan on driving it on more forestry and logging roads over by elizabethton, Hampton and roan mountain in far regions of northeast Tennessee. Looking forward to driving it this winter when we get snow in the higher elevations above 3,000 to 5500 feet.

So you can get a frontier or even a Ridgeline with a naturally aspirated V6...and get similar or better gas mileage. I don't have to deal with turbos and you get better reliability with both Honda and Nissan. So why in God's heaven would I buy this thing?

I dont care personally but the fuel mileage is pretty dismal. Kind of makes you wonder why a 4 banger. My heavy (built) TRD PRO will match or come close to that and last much longer im thinking.
@joalyincontroly4379
@joalyincontroly4379 Жыл бұрын
My buddy has a 2022 TRD Pro and it's an awesome truck. But the new Colorado with the turbo 2.7 has significantly more power. In fact it has 32 more horsepower and 50% more torque which is an extremely noticeable difference. So to have this much more power yet still have similar mileage is a huge win for this 2.7 turbo. It's also been proving it's excellent reliability and longevity in hundreds of thousands of trucks for over half a decade already, and so far it seems like a solid win for GM. But I will say that Taco of yours does have Toyota's legendary reliability and likely a better resale value down the road as well. I think there's pros and cons of both the Taco and the Colorado, but I ordered a 2023 ZR2 and I'm pretty excited to feel that 430 lb-ft of torque😍

@robertyoung8289 I always chuckle when I hear someone complain about mpg when buying a truck. Because they aren't buying it to use as a truck. They want it for car and status symbol purposes.
@joalyincontroly4379
@joalyincontroly4379 Жыл бұрын
@@elche1976 Agreed, and power is never free. Nothing is free. personally I wish the new ZR2 had the fuel economy of a supercharged hellcat V8 because power would match accordingly. But yeah, 430 lb-ft of torque will be enough for my epic out-back logging-road adventures.. and my ZR2 will never be caught "cruising" anywhere near a mall.

I'm going to get a ZR2, not for the interior, but for the extra 4X4 capability (front and rear lockers, tires, shocks, and ground clearance, etc.), the extra torque is just icing on the cake. Disappointed that NOBODY seems to have any in stock to look at/test drive. Ah well, gives me more time to save up for it. I thought about a Toyota Tacoma (since my current V6 RAV4 AWD w/200k miles is such a reliable vehicle), but with them STILL (!!!) not having a factory front locker, that was a hard pass for me. Pull your head out, Toyota, you ALMOST had my business.
