I bought one of these a couple months ago. I bought the XLE with the premium package. I do have the memory seats that are missing from this XSE. This is my first Toyota. The Camry Hybrid is doing everything it sets out to do very well and returning 50 mpgs.

Pretty good midsized sedan attracting buyer's attention so significantly that these Toyotas even replace VW taxi cabs over whole EU! 👍

I’d also like to mention that Sam mentioned subscriptions to unlock features of this Camry and while that is true, Toyota includes subscriptions at no charge for the first 3 years on some features and 10 years on other features. So consumers like me who trade every 3 year can enjoy the Digital Key and Remote Start and so on, at no charge during the ownership period.

Point remains, other manufacturer's don't do this to people. The only reason they are offering an extended trial subscription is because of consumer and editorial push-back.

@ BMW does it. And Mazda which I also just bought, told me it’s coming soon.

@2004cyrus Mazda is all ready charging for their app, 3 years after vehicle initially goes into service. At least with Toyota, you can still remote start with thekey fob; Mazda no longer offers that.

Nice review, for potential consumers, I wish Sam would have mentioned that an AWD is available for extra charge. I do realize Sam told us he was reviewing the car that Toyota sent him for the week and it’s not an AWD. But maybe a quick mention along with horsepower and torque that come from the 2 electric motors. It wouldn’t be overwhelming for those of us who may not care for mechanical information, but just touch upon it and move on. Thank you for your work here Sam. I agree with your points on this vehicle as I bought one 7 weeks ago. I am to have been able to pay for the Camry in full.

It was mentioned in the video actually.

@@2004cyrus He mentioned it bud. Go back and re-watch. 🤣

@ I did. But he barely touched on mechanicals and the review felt shallow. My first time watching Sam. I don’t think he appreciates his viewers. He could have thanked me for watching and engaging but he wanted to set me straight on subscription models. Not the grateful approach I’ve received from other “auto entertainment journalists.” My family owns 59 auto dealerships in 4 southern states, I’m not exactly an idiot. He carries a homosexual chip on his shoulder.

Sam mentioned the black roof being metallic - I can’t find information to back that up. Mine is flat black- no metallic. Toyota does offer Midnight Black and that is metallic. But this black is not that.
@TestDrivenTV17 күн бұрын
It's clearly visible in the video as being metallic paint. If that's not enough, it's clearly stated on the window sticker and website as being metallic.
@2004cyrus17 күн бұрын
@ Okay thank you. To my eyes it was not clearly visible or I would have not made the comment. If the camera was held still maybe we could see that. Otherwise I have material that says otherwise. But I bought an XLE and it’s not metallic. That is the main reason I was wrong. There are some reviewers who have channels that have incorrect information as well. My mistake for trusting KZbinrs who call themselves journalists.
