I purchased the Crown Limited 3 months ago. So far, it’s been absolutely amazing. I consistently get better gas mileage than projected. Usually I’m getting 48-54 mpg. The ride is very smooth, the advanced driver assistance and technology is spectacular, and the interior is sheer luxury. The seats are unbelievably comfortable which is really nice for longer drives. Overall, I love it and do not regret the purchase one bit. I also agree with Kirk, the limited trim is the way to go. I test drove both the limited and the platinum. While the platinum is faster, the fuel economy definitely suffers. The only big difference is that the platinum gets the automatic parking assist. I preferred the smoother, more fuel efficient limited trim.

I like this Crown. I was hoping you could get the Limited tech package without those 21s. I feel like the ride will be smoother and tire replacement will be more reasonable with the standard 19 inch wheels.

This is the one I want. The Limited is the only trim level that you can get an interior color other than tomb black. I would rather get >40mpg and 600 miles of range than the high performance version. A number of reviewers have complained about lack of driver’s seat headroom so that is a concern. I too wish this was a lift back.
@rightlanehog3151
@rightlanehog3151 Жыл бұрын
The lack of driver's seat headroom is in keeping with the lack of passenger seat headroom in the back. 🤨Why couldn't they have lifted headroom 4 inches the way they lifted the seating position 4 inches? The design craze kicked off by the original sloping Mercedes CLS sedan in 2004 is still distorting the shape of sedans from their original practical mission. Is it any wonder practical people are forced into CUVs?

Thank you for the coverage of the new Crown. Some will love it and others will be totally turned off by it. IMO it looks like it should be a replacement for the Venza not the Avalon. It makes me even happier that I bought the new 19 Avalon Limited. I'm hoping it gives me the same carefree service that my bought new 2000 XLS did. On a recent road trip with cruise set just above the speed limit I got over 34 mpg with one tankful getting 35.1 mpg on interstate driving. Not bad for a comfortable cruiser with 301 HP. As for the 2000 XLS, I passed it down to my granddaughter when I bought the 2019. It is still her daily driver and still only requires regular maintenance.

I would get it with the turbo. Not for the performance, but because if you drive on the highway a lot like I do, it is just so much smoother and easier on the engine getting up to highway speeds. I drove a GM car with the 3800 turbo and put over 300k miles on after getting it with 66k. I've had two similar non-turbo GM 3800 cars prior to and two since, and none of them saw, or will see 200k. The turbo GM got only one fewer MPG's than the non-turbo ones.

Lucky to live in a country where this wonder of automotive Japanese industry, comes year after year, is my opinion this brand doesn’t fit in America. Is like to try to adapt a ford mustang in Japan. The philosophy behind the real crown is exclusively to Japanese way of thinking, which is opposed to America’s. It is a sacrilege to bring such a unique brand to a society that doesn’t understand the value of this brand. The real Toyota Crown is not just a car. Is a blend of refinement , durability and luxury but on the interpretation of Japan philosophy. How many will consider buying a GT 500 made in China?. Every hands that touch that sheet metal,most be American,because there’s a vibes that comes from the love and pride of the guys who make this icon of American muscle. Same thing happening with the Crown. If you don’t understand what’s behind the Crown..? Is a very prestigious brand For all of that , I don’t think , this market idea will last. Just like the Supra Another Toyota Legend ,been misplaced.

The Crown does not have a power adjustable steering wheel. Meaning it doesn't synchronize with the seat settings. Big miss. The 'plastic side decoration/flare' is a design abomination, totally pointless. No HUD. Hood prop rods. The 'power delivery' animation is pathetic for 2023. Plastic wheel well trim looks cheap. The ONLY thing that is useful is the double jointed console arm rest. Not an upgrade from my 2021 Avalon Limited, even with the better gas mileage. IMHO.

Well its lifted sedan simple as that .😂. I will make this easy for you again . Its a lifted awd sedan/wagon .this is nothing new because this body style has existed forever .

It needs power. 236 horsepower in that heavy car once you have three or four people isn’t enough especially with a CVT.

@@ekgcanadianenthusiast9961 Its a lifted sedan with very weird styling. Toyota vehicles are basic and boring, most Toyota owners are very conservative. Just don't see this selling well.
