Of course it gives good fuel economy. It's a Prius. As an owner of a 2015 with the bad ass solar sunroof. (Yeah I know we don't agree on the badassness of the solar Panel sunroof.) What I am most excited about is the better pick up and my curiosity is how is the cargo space? Because non Prius owners don't understand how much stuff you can fit in in a second and third gen Prius.

Yep, one time I needed to take a big reclining chair to my daughter's house, 320 miles round trip! Thought I would need to take the pickup (15 mpg) but the Gen2 Prius swallowed that thing just fine. Nice. I call it my "fire-breathing Prius" and enjoy the 50 mpg.

The new Prime is going to bring back the sunroof, and reported cargo capacity with seats up seems to be 20-23 cu ft, which is a disappointing decrease from the 24-27 of the gen 4.
@joshuab17072 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah I used to have the 3rd gen Prius and the cargo space was amazing. I was able to fit a 65in TV (in box) in there with the back closed and seats down, though admittedly I did have to have my driver seat scooted forward more than what's comfortable for me at 6'2". Also I went on a roadtrip with a buddy who is 6'6" and we slept in the car during the whole trip. I slept in the driver seat fully reclined and he slept in the back, kinda laying diagonally.

@@KirkKreifels should be " , as in they said itll happen? or just should be as in it would be great? i wonder if communcaitve hydrallic steering can make it not too tiring to drive as manual steering at low speed, but give the fun steering that makes driving less boring so theres less shifting focus between driving and day dreaming, and thats make it safer with trying to drive for effeincy because not so boring to be aware of enviroment, and knowing grip limit allows minimizing braking and smoother steering, for longevity of tire, brakes, battery, fuel and electrcity etc. maybe for non sporty driver, it can have a light that gets progresivly bright then turns of and off quickly when near grip limit (or at the grip limit so if a mistake is made it would be just little safe bit of traction loss, just to be far from danger, skilled driver will know to ignore it by turning it off or covering it with tape). at least if hydralic system is fixed pressures instead of variable, it maybe more eenrgy eeffceint than electric power steering, and maybe not weight much more if any more. best MOTORing officical video claimed that prius trd in japan has much stiffer chassis, rear multilink suspension, sway bar, etc for handling sportiness, maybe gordon murray i stream seats suppsoedldy 30 percent less weight, a office chair cushion may allow stiffer factory seats but then a cushion that can be used at least only for occupants that will be in car, and it can be used outside car. its only illegal for driver to cover ears, would be done for sound canceling, because having as much built in nvh is very heavy and expensive, some may option for almost no nvh material especially if car is naturally not loud or rough due to chassis and areodynamics. these can be aftermarket job after warranty is over for any at least non heavy car, especialy as a only car.

The new Niro is just oddly styled to my eye, not really an improvement on the outgoing model. Like the weird plastic boomerangs on the C pillars what are those supposed to be?
