@@IsardPragmatique93 Sorry, pal, I usually am against arguing online, but I have to draw the line somewhere. Saying that Nausicaa is not a well-known movie just plain doesn't work. Dude, Nausicca is THE most well known Miyazaki movie. Is the one that led to the foundation of Studio Ghibli (it is considered a Ghibli film because Ghibli owns the rights). It's the one ranked as one of the greatest films ever made. If you ask anyone "tell me three Ghibli films", it will 99% of times be "Nausicaa and two others" (with the other two often including Totoro, but I know many people who believe Totoro is just a mascot and not knowing he has its own movie). Just agree that even if you didn't know about it it just means YOU are not very versed in Ghiobli films (which is NOT a dishonor; NOBODY is "required" to be very versed in ANYTHING) and enjoy the one-day build, pal. :-)

I remember one night, a long long time ago, when my father brought a video tape (VHS?) of Nausicaa from work. At the time, Mr. Miyazaki and his creations were still completely unknown to the world, let alone even in Japan. My father had met Mr. Miyazaki who I recall was looking for advertiser(s) to fund the release/production of his work. A lot of time has passed since then, with more movies released and Mr. Miyazaki is now well recognized in the world, yet the story of Nausicca still remains to be my favorite of all his creations. Watching this KZbin video made me reminisce how I felt the very first time I ever saw Nausicca as a young human being still living in Japan.

@@TMWriting , I still stand by my statement. Here’s the description and link to a video by a popular KZbin science communicator. His video informed my opinion but of course you should verify the claims for yourself. “My hypothesis is that the algorithm, rather than viewer preference, drives views on the site. As the algorithm shifts, various KZbinrs experience burnout (as what used to work no longer works) and right now click-through rate is the key metric. So clickable titles and thumbnails are the only way to get a lot of impressions and hence views - they are the only way to go viral. This leads me to wonder which audiences will become most prevalent on the site and if there will even be a place for educational content. In the long-term, hopefully KZbin is able to measure satisfaction through surveys and other metrics to ensure an optimal experience for everyone on the site.” - Veritasium kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHnWkmx6ptJ8mpo

I first saw only 10 minutes of the Japanese version in a high school Japanese class but unfortunately I had to go home sick that day so I didn't even know the name of the film but I was so captivated by it I spent years trying to find out what it was. I actually randomly came across the graphic novels years later in a comic book shop one day and was like I FOUND HER!!! Thus began my life long obsession with Hayao Miyazaki films! And sorry for being a "the book was better" type, but the graphic novel TOTALLY is. Imagine if the Lord of the Rings trilogy was condensed into a Hallmark movie. Don't get me wrong, the movie is good too...but definitely read the graphic novel if you haven't already! So much more depth to the Graphic Novel then the movie. It is truly Miyazaki's finest work.
