I had the same surgery it is very painful. How can any bone that breaks or fractures not be painful.

Why do bones have to be broken in the nose? Good grief that does sound like it would be painful.

It took me a week before i could return to work. Even though they say you could return the next day. Impossible . I was told the crack your nose to open the sinus cavity.

Just had it done 3 days ago. I was so nervous before the procedure I was about to cry, too. No joke. The bones breaking was about like cracking an egg. The doctor's assistant I were "cracking" jokes about how satisfying it sounded - like popping your back. It wasn't 100% pain-free, but close. The first few hours were rough because I had a lot of bloody discharge and discharge from a retention cyst. That was Monday. On Wednesday, I feel great. I have mild cold symptoms now, but I can breathe better now than I could at any point in my memory.

@@timcepin3386 No. Just the broken sinus bones. Still doing great after almost three years.
