Moonstone is definitely one of the best games I ever played and that I will never forgot. I can still play it today with the same joy than 30 years ago. Yo Joe is very good too, but Moonstone is special to me.

Another Great Video 👏 Desert Strike was awesome. 1 of the creators worked on 80s cartoons like Transformers, Gem, GIJOE, Visionaries etc before moving to video games. Top 10... Amiga Games... (ohhh) games I would play as a kid and still hold a nostalgic place I'm my heart Road Rash, Skidmarks or Super Skidmarks, Jungle Strike... you could blow up part of the White House(something you would never be allowed to do these days). Syndicate, Pinball Fantasies, fast food dizzy (or something like that) (it's basically 3d pacman with cute cut scenes and cool music), SuperCars 2 and Speedball 2 have already been covered, Shuffle Puck Cafe isn't the best but it was a change of scenery, BugBomber because it was 4 player... and the demo was harder than the first few levels of the actual game... Played it for months before realising you can lay your own different eggs and bugs. At first we thought it was a poor version of BomberMan... but it became addictive. Great work... please keep these coming. Take care

Super Tennis Champs is actually the best tennis game that nobody knows about, it plays better than modern tennis games where everything is automated (noobie mode). Moonstone: fantastic game.

Great video! Some titles I've loved on my Amiga (not sure if they were lesser known in UK, I'm over in the US) and seem to work pretty well on the A500 mini: * Lionheart (One of my absolute favorite platform adventure games ever!) * Globdule (Not a brilliant name, but it's a really fun puzzle/platformer where you control a blob that sticks to walls, ceilings, etc.) * Hot Rod (Plays a bit like Nitro & Super Cars. Maybe not as good, but still might be something you'll want to check out. Seems to be a port of an old Sega arcade racer.) * Rodland (Really fun action puzzle game that reminds me a lot of Bubble Bobble.) Now I'm gonna' have to go check out Nitro & Moonstone as I'm not familiar with those!

There is a new robocop game coming out. It looks like they've really captured the 80s aesthetic with it from the original movies. It's probably going to be a better game than Robocop 3 on the Amiga at this point already.

A puzzle game called Pushover was quite popular back in the day in the office at lunch time where I used to work. It's a kind of domino tipping game. You have to use an ant character to move and arrange them in order so that they all fall down but have to make sure the Trigger one is the last to fall. This opens the door to the next level. There are various dominoes that have special functions like tumbling, explosive, bridge building, ascending, delay, blocker and others. It was sponsored by Smiths Crisps/Quavers.

Yo Joe! was one of the best on Amiga, great mix of puzzle solving and item collecting remembering to use certain weapons sparingly. Sadly never completed it, though. Some nice games - and some other truly fantastic games worth playing on the Amiga are Apprentice, Harlequin, Terrys Big Adventure, Arabian Nights, along with Simulcra, and Zeewolf 1 & 2. These all scored very well across all the Amiga mags back in the day, a shame they seem to be sadly neglected in todays Amiga community.

A few that I remember as a kid playing are Cabal Metal mutant Mysterious worlds Parasol world Rick dangerous 1,2 and 2.5 Zombi PP Hammer and his pneumatic weapon Try and get your hands on some of the demo disks as well, I remember some of them having some awesome games on them. One I remember had like 100 games on it all short but fun to play.

I would give THE SENTINEL a deeper look. Hard to know what you have and haven't played but RODLAND is great, little bit of a curveball, try ONSLAUGHT, MAGIC POCKETS is ace, especially with the Betty Boo soundtrack.

All the great Amiga 500/1000/2000 games done with talent look like good Megadrive games and sound better (more like the SNES). There are less than 25 games that are made with that sort of talent sadly. Even the amazing games like It Came from the Desert really suffered with iffy coding/framerate on the action sequences so you need to play those on an Amiga 4000/040 or better spec CPU.

@@TheGebs24 My favourite machine to use is my Amiga 1000 but it's probably the least expandable/most expensive to upgrade of all of them but it's the one I had as a teenager in the late 80s so very nostalgic but I had an A1200 on launch day and a 9mb Amiga 2000 with a HDD in 1990. A1000 Takes the least amount of desk space! Which model(s) did you have?

@@TheGebs24 The Amiga 1000 can only have 512k memory for the custom chips with just 32/64 colours like an A500/2000 but can never be upgraded to 1mb memory for the custom chips unlike even the first 1987 A500s so it limits your games. You can add the extra memory stuck on the side but that works a bit different to A500/600 trapdoor extra memory and that means I can't play Ghosts n Goblins but I can play Lotus II 1mb Amiga 500 games. There is no advantage at all over an A1200, it is just a beautifully built and designed 1987 Amiga 500 spec machine with a lovely keyboard and the samples sound a teeny bit nicer than other Amigas too that's all. Takes up less desk space because the keyboard slides underneath and the monitor goes on top like a small PC. I have pretty much every machine from Atari 2600 to Xbox 360 so the extra space saving helps get more machines out of their boxes :) I had an October 1992 A1200 on launch day and got a 486 PC at the same time....the A1200 was half the price and had much better games and even graphics for pixel art than my 486. The A1200 was a really nice machine, only downside is the A500/1000/2000 had nicer keyboards to type on than A600/1200 but you could add a hard drive really easy inside the A600/1200 but no easy way to add one to the A500 or 1000 sadly.
