The whole MORR group are just class acts. Solid people.

I appreciate that the Metalcloak guys were not only doing the flex test but giving insight into how the suspension was working and what was limiting some of the flex. Obviously you're running their stuff so they had extra motivation but I know they were doing this for other rigs running other brands stuff too. Good guys, makes me want to buy their products seeing this.

They try to take time with everyone who stops in. Some events are busier then other but the main focus of what they do is to help every Jeeper make improvements, not just those running MC suspension.

Great video and nice to meet you. I would also like to thank you for signing the Jeep! Keep up the cool videos, you're an inspiration and one of the reasons we started our own channel. Hope to see you out there again.

CTIs are fun - best part is the Metalcloak guys go around and check everything out and make sure you don’t have any issues or things binding up. Our Gladiator got a 900 last year at Jeep Evasion - I’m hoping to make some changes to it before this years and check it out again. Not overly concerned with a number though, it works really good.

Ya its pretty awesome that MC has Corey and Jessy just going around the country checking rigs non stop. They did around 250 rigs at EJS alone.

For the record when rti became a thing in the 90's the s-10 and the ram charger score is still the same now as then. The Ford F150 with 30 inch tires with the ttb would hammer out 650 rti. The real reality is a whole lot more complex then just this alone. Back in the day they would flex so much trying to get as close to something like 1500 rti that they wouldn't move because of no weight on the tire. Now days we are afraid of limiting travel and exchange it for travel. With portals starting to become an option things will change again in the next 20 yrs. Just remember back in the 80's everybody ran a 2 1/2 rancho lift on their jeep with 33 inch tire with a rti of 500 or so. Most of the trails we are running now with 40's were run back in the 80's on the aforementioned set up. Back then they pulled cable a lot more now we don't as much. Also we spend about 200% to 500% more on vehicles to achieve that.

17:04 For those curious, the current pricing on those portals is $25k USD for the parts. No idea what the labor might be or if DIY would be possible.
@Casey250 Жыл бұрын
Indeed however right now everything is using billet aluminum. I've been told they are working on casting many of the expensive parts and getting the cost waaaaay down.

If those portals were in the $6k range they would destroy the custom suspension market and the market for regearing

I had it on there earlier in the week. It doesn’t score good though because I have hydrolic bump stops and the CTI machine isn’t able to fully flex it out. Basically in real life wheeling scenarios it flexes a lot more than the machine can make it do.
