Thank you for this video! These flux glazes are beautiful. You mentioned doing another video using them on flat surfaces and poured on mugs. I wondered if you had any textured pieces you might show as well? I'm wondering how the glazes will break around texture. Again - thank you! I love your videos :)

Yes, I will be. I did the Midnight Run mug with a textured surface. But the rest of the mugs are smooth because I ran out of bisqued textured surfaces. I have to make more mugs. I really love these glazes and can't wait to try Layering. 😍

Hello Marie!!! Thank you again for taking the time to share your knowledge with us ! Can I ask is is ok while using stoneware to leave the outside of the mug without glaze and only glaze the inside ? Would still be food safe ? Thank you Marie!!!

Marie, this was very helpful - glazes are confusing! Suggestions for Video: A video for your planter pots with attached bottoms would be wonderful...I've been struggling with them. Also a video on how to use pottery paddles to square off cylinders. Is there a good trick? I'll be watching :-)

Very good question. Yes, absolutely. As long as the glaze isn't touching the food you're fine.

I have question regarding the top, clear glaze. When we use flux glaze, top is not required, when we use other glaze, needs top glaze? Is this under right?

I think I understand? I only use clear glaze when I am using underglaze or I don't want to put color glaze on my pots I will apply clear glaze where I did not apply the color glaze. I hope this helps. 😊

What's a Flux glaze

Hi. Good question,. Flux is an ingredient in glaze that lowers the melting temperature of the glaze. Fluxes also influences the color of the glaze that's why some of these glazes have a peachy hue to them.
