How come these guys never mention that batteries need to be replaced approx after 5,000 charges and no one ever mention that the cost to do so will be between US$14,000/ $10,000 subject to car! Not much of a saving

Have you ever of heard NIO?

5000 charges once a day is 13.6 years. Most cars don't last that long. It sounds sufficient

EV will also have environmental issue since they need to address disposal of batteries & also raw materials being used for batteries?

Remember the Hindenburg? This engine brings hair-raising excitement to the daily commute, as you hurtle down the highway atop a rolling bomb. Splendid! Oh Wow! Another fatally genius idea at 9:50 on the video...let's combine an electric charge AND hydrogen in the same machine, and see what happens! If you smoke a pack of cigs in a puddle of benzene, your odds of survival are much greater.

Toyota's fate might end-up like Nokia, Ericsson or Kodak!!! She is pioneer in hybrid vehicle (prius) She has hands in hydrogen fuel system / engine. She has hands in solid-state battery. She has hands in EVs and ICE cars She seems losing focus!!! We don't blame Kodak. He was the company invented digital camera. But cannot phase-out their major income/profits generated from traditional chemical film industry

So if you get into an accident it will explode like a bomb…?

Nope, nothing ...not like an EV battery explosion

No. Hydrogen has to be mixed with oxygen to combust and explode. One hundred percent hydrogen won’t explode. It does present containment problems, though, which Toyota has likely figured out. The Hindenburg dirigible that burned in New Jersey early last century, was made of flammable materials. So, the containment and the hydrogen burned because they were exposed to oxygen in an air. You’ll find that the Toyota will contain hydrogen in a material that doesn’t burn and isn’t corroded by hydrogen.

Hydrogen just like Gasoline, must be distributed, and the delivery cost is not cheap compare to the distribution of electricity...
