Im hitting 3400W with 80kg on barbell at 74kg bodyweight and 2.05 with VBT Enode . And im not jumping 50 inch 😁😁

What about with the heavier weights?
@HadzbeАй бұрын
@ my power clean max is 100kg, but vbt shows i should do like 130 from flor max, i cant throw weights on my gym SO im preety afraid to get under barbell. Even higher power i had on keiser air squat 3700W. Peak power in excersice will not always translate as we think to running jump. Thats why weightlifters can achievie even 5500W on cleans.

@@Hadzbego to a gym where you can train hard. Gotta have freedom to fail when trying to be elite

@@uhhcoolstory5627 youre 100% right. But still i have my own small gym with courts where im training since i was young without olympic lifting and still have 47 nich VERT.

Why not also collect data from a high hang clean? No momentum.

Charles Poliquin mentioned a long time ago in his German Volume Training, (which is essentially 10 sets for a body part) that you normally get stronger in the 7th-8th set.

When are you coming to Australia again

Dope, you got the Rogue Rhino ...... but I hear the Squatmax MD machine is better because it is proven to simulate the squat movement better.

I don't have any high-tech devices to measure output, but I do start a power phase tomorrow.
@pennyadem2318Ай бұрын
hey do you think half squat 180 of 5 reps and 5 sets can be good for my vertical jump and I am doing it explosively like tryna to it fast to go up?

Austin was moving that 275 ridiculously fast

I noticed that you dont use powerlifting belt at all. Why?
@YunisRajabАй бұрын
Why would he? He won't be jumping with a belt so there is no point in getting stronger using a crutch. Makes sense for power lifters because they use the belts during the competition
@lowballinnАй бұрын
because he actually trains
@troliskimoskoАй бұрын
His goal isn’t to move the most weight possible, it’s to improve is functional strength. If he trains with a belt then he might not be as well braced when he’s jumping
@asheepygamer8443Ай бұрын
Core strength is a big part of jumping high
@foldedcandleАй бұрын
A belt isn't gonna help for athleticism. He trains for functional strength. Not for moving the most as possible

idk if its adrenaline, i think its the fact that you could probably hit yourself in the face quite easily with anything under 225 so naturally you may not accelerate it as quick lol

That’s def part of it, especially with the sub 200 weights

Fatigue
@alejandroroman5080Ай бұрын
That’s a good sign, mean that your muscle are tired. Once you rest for 2-3 days you will gonna notice the difference. I feel same sometimes!!
@kehmerАй бұрын
thats a good thing. youre fatigued, which should mean your training is working.
@tommyprogressАй бұрын
Probably fatigue. Could have detrained somewhere else along the force velocity curve. Could not be jumping enough. Could have gained fat as your squat went up so relative strength actually went down. Really depends on your whole training profile but zoom out your thinking focus on the overall monthly to yearly trends
@theheebs100Ай бұрын
Could be a few things. As mentioned by others, fatigue is a likely culprit, but there could be some other factors leading to your vertical actually going down despite your squat improving. -have you gained weight? -are you doing enough jumping? -are you ever lifting for power? If you are just focusing on max strength you are actually very likely to see your vertical go down. It is just one piece of the puzzle.
