Testing Meguiar's Ultimate compound on heavily oxidized black truck by hand

The paint was in just terrible condition and has some sort of problem with embedded white slashes but overall it brought back the shin somewhat and made the truck look a whole lot better, I thought it was going to be way harder.

Try wiping it with some steel wool it brigs out the shine even better

No I only use boutique quality products on my SL (Blackfire compounds from autogeek) but I am crazy about the paint and as you know the mercedes black scratches so easy even with a microfiber. you could use this though but by hand it will not get you the results you want on that kind of car you really need a porter cable 7424xp to do it right...and get that showroom mirror shine.

***** this wont hurt your paint though. what caused those swirls was either a wool pad or a terry cloth only use foam pads and quality microfibers

that's not oxidation. that's actually delamination of the clear coat.

Too bad this won't work on my BMW. My paint is like this on the video, not as bad, so you'd think it'd come out more easily, but it hasn't for me.
