Testing Our Robust Ironwill Longsword Fighter on Live Server in Dark and Darker today. Multiclassing has been pretty fun, despite the bad changes to the respec and the massive grind it actually still is. But still pretty fun. Need Ironmace to dial in the dsync sooner rather than later. Nothing sucks more than watching weapons phase through the longsword parry when you finally manage to catch up to someone that's kited 3 rooms over lol. Longsword still pretty fun, but definitely doesn't benefit from the multiclassing as well as many other weapons. Let's keep trying to have some fun with longsword on Dark and Darker for now though.

Perserverance, Robust, Iron Will, Anti Magic is the best multi-classing set up possible. You cannot die. Anti-magic stacks on top of the 75% magic resist cap, making you literally unable to be damaged by magic. What little damage you do take from +true is reduced by 3 from perservance. Build PDR and you're immortal

This does sound ridiculous lol. But you can't really run this with longsword since it's so perk reliant. Unless you're just out there left clicking which I guess would work great still, just boring lol. Sounds great for the pure tank full send builds tho!

my first three rolls i got achilles strike, robust and iron will. super lucky and helped me finish my grind to demi god in duos. works so well with the longsword and i love the multiclass system thanks to your last test server video

Winning! I've had a hard time enjoying it the last few days since the mindwipe didn't function until today and I didn't have the full build I wanted to test. Gonna get on tonight and derp around with it if I can get the rolls I want this time

It does look like that in full speed. Passed through the longsword though while I was looking at it frame by frame in my editing software. I'll say right now, dsync is horrendous in the game for me. It's been the worst it's ever felt since they dropped OG crypts in at the end of the last wipe. Really hoping for some performance fixes in the near future.

i was able to get iron will, robust, carnage, savage roar and achilles strike on my fighter. i genuinely don't know how to feel about it

what is the extra 17 hp doing except making you feel more confident? most of the time people are doing double that

Dude 17 hp is a massive amount lol. You'd have to spend thousands on a necklass of peace that could get that amount and it's baked into a perk. That's insane value

@@oggieson yeah true, I’m more thinking about the value of having 17 extra hp. It most of time time it won’t soak up an extra hit unless you are hit in the arm or legs. I do around 90 to a dummy. If the dummy had 200 hp it would still take two hit with or without the perk

Roar is really good, my boy has been running it. Slayer with blunt weapon mastery, ice shield, and dual wield. Roar and Sprint. Im wizard with lesser, divine light, spell predation, and sanc. 10 spell goes crazy. Use all wiz perks. Ice mastery, sage, fire mastery and magic damage bonus. SO sweet. I play a little ignite version of it in norms with just sanc. "its broken" .. Multiclassing fills the void everyone was complaining about. Having to run meta and never getting to enjoy what you want. Anyone can fill their own personal void instead of complaining to devs that the game isnt designed for their solo lobbies. If you struggle with magic, build resist and speed. If you struggle with building your damage stack that crap. Jus do what you want and GG when you get counter classed. Dont get why people cant accept matchup losses and with multiclass there are no excuses. IF someone finds a completely broken noncounterable, no way to outplay, then itll get removed. They are doin that shi every day. Love that I can build to still play wiz in duo/trio no matter what comp im with. My rogue is now ridiculously strong in norms, which is dope because cleric barb makes rogue 10x harder to play than any other character against the matchup. They want a buffball crypts meta this is what it takes, otherwise we need ruins which counters the buff ball and slam playstyle. To make everything feel more natural. Cleric just doesnt scale, wiz jus doesnt scale, slayer just doesnt scale, etc. You NEED space for everything to create splits on their teamwork. Straight lines are just too simple for the classes to ever compare.

I was goofing around with savage roar a bit too, but instead of making use of it I literally just got kited by every player in the game and didn't have a way to chase them down reliably.

I was taking achille's if I could. Got savage roar and didn't find much success with it since so many classes can still just disengage and kite while throwing/shooting at you instead.

You are not doing the right thing by supporting this gameplay development decision. It may net you some more viewers. But it will fade. This is an untenable development goal for this team.

Easy dude lol. I'm one of the more vocal guys in the content creation arena calling out how the game feels I think. I was hopeful multiclassing would shore up some weaknesses specifically for longsword to compete as a legitimate melee weapon and not a fringe meme weapon, but the servers are shot. Dsync is worse than it's ever been. So much more ranged damage in the game and those that aren't ranged damage are damage stacking nonsense two shotting with 1h weapons that shouldn't deal the damage they deal. So I don't disagree. I think multiclassing won't last in this game and is a detriment to it. I think that stems more from an imbalance in gear/stat to stat comparisons of weapons than the perks across classes though. Gear is horribly balanced right now just looking at base stats between weapons like falchion/rapier vs longsword/battle axe/spear/viking sword and so on.
