I had very oily skin as a teenager and all the way into my thirties. Once I hit 40, the oiliness gradually diminished. Now at 50, it tends to be more on the dry side. I love your videos and thanks for sharing LYS. I have had my eye on this brand and now I know!

I received the LYS foundation as a Sephora sample and as a dry skinned gal, I LOVED IT and will be buying a full size. So natural and yes definitely light coverage. I did not set it but it did not transfer. However it DID oxide almost a shade and a half! I would definitely recommend this foundation for dry skin!! Just go a shade lighter than usual.

lys cream blushes are amazing they're not super dewy they are more like natural matte but in a cream and shade range is amazing I want the burnt terracotta shade

You should definitely try the LYS blush! Its a matte cream and I think one of their best products. I thought the foundation was just okay. The look came out bomb!

Beautiful! Just wanted to clarify; the name of the highlighter line is Aim High and the shade looks like it's Brave which is a champagne. They also have Genuine which is a rose gold and fearless that's a bronze. Hope that helps everyone! Love you Casey 💗 You look stunning mama!

I did a full face of l y s just the other day also so it's very random that I came across your video within the same week. But I was excited because I ran into my mother that day and she told me that she liked my makeup and she never comments on my makeup, from the base makeup to everything else I had on my face she said went very well together and looks Flawless. So I live by the lys Foundation, concealer, blush, bronzer, and the finishing powder is absolutely stunning and so is the highlighter.

I have the Makeup by Mario Master Mattes eyeshadow palette from the Sephora Sale, and I love it for all of the different shades and blends like a dream, and then I pop on a highlighter, or shimmery shadow on the lids like you did, because there's nothing more beautiful than a shimmery lid! Hey Casey! I have oily skin, and I had a pretty good experience with the LYS foundation. Do you happen to have the Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Setting Powder (the pressed on in the silver packaging)? If so, it is A1 for setting your face and keeping everything in place. It’s been my go-to as a setting powder and also for touchups. Maybe try that on top of the foundation to see if it helps tone down the glow. Great review as always!

I have the same problem with my oily skin and serum foundations but I love the Rose Inc tinted serum! It's beautiful on my skin. Light coverage so it's probably not something you'd be that interested in but it's the only serum that has worked for my oily skin

I was like omg she doesn’t even have dry skin like me but I love every single makeup product that you have suggested. Since I had to set my foundation so much with powder I just went ahead and switched to wearing concealer and powder foundation only. My oils still break through by the end of the day (that’s what I use bloating sheets for) but I don’t have that sticky liquid foundation feeling anymore.

It’s terrible to have dry skin because when you put makeup on it shows every single line on your face. You really have to prep you skin very good. Then some foundation look like they are sitting on top of your skin instead of sinking in. I wish I had some oil to my skin!!!! I guess it boils down to we all want something we don’t have. Your makeup always looks so beautiful, but you are naturally very pretty anyway. Thanks for reviewing so much makeup for us. It really means a lot. Especially your honesty!!!!!♥️💕🤗😘

Super dry skin here! I would rather have oily. No matter what I do my skin looks like it’s flaking off my face and over the day it just gets more cakey 😅 I have to soak my face in moisturizer every day and I have only a few foundations that are dewy enough to look like skin (and not cakey) that actually stay on my face. Give me some of your oils plzzzz

I have VERY dry skin. I apply moisturizer prior to my makeup. Hours later I look as if the life is drained out of me; esp my under eye area. It & my face are often cracked like the Sierra dessert. I remedy this issue using Nyx's hydrating oil primer. I apply a few drops on the back of my hand & dab a damp beauty sponge thru it, & then apply to my dry areas. It's an instant lift to my dry lifeless makeup. Having dry skin makes you look older than what you actually are.

I had oily skin all of my teenage years and most of my 20s. At around 28/29 my skin is dry. Dry skin isn't any more fun and I don't try enough products to find what works for me. I find that most foundations make me feel drier. If anyone knows of a great hydrating/moisturizing foundation that also has a beautiful, skin-like finish - drop a reply 😁

To answer your question: it really sucks having dry skin 🤣 if i miss a day and don’t moisturize i cannot tell you how my skin flakes and i get dry patches. Add that to having rosacea yaay

Let me say that in the past two years-for whatever reason-my skin has turned quite dry for my super oily self during the winter months. An absolute shock for me, let me assure you! I am still my oily monster self during warmer months in the south, but let January come around, and my skin becomes a whole other beast. While I have always known the struggle of the super oily chick, this recent situation of very (for me anyway) dry skin has been quite the struggle. I feel for my dry skin and oily skin beauties. Normal beauties without a care in the world, I envy you!

LOLOL when you said that you wonder what it's like to have dry skin I literally LOL'd! I used to have oily skin my entire life but then I started birth control and my skin became so dry! So now I never set my foundation really or I use a hydrating/glowy powder like the Tatcha on just my T-zone and to set my under-eye concealer for special occasions. Some days my bare skin looks better than if I were to wear foundation b/c my skin is so dry the foundation clings to the flakiness!

They have cream blushes that are nice 👍 I didn’t like the foundation over my milk makeup primer it separated and came off almost right away, may try over another primer tho. Your makeup looks so good❤️

I have normal to dry skin. I cannot use matte liquid face products. But, I HAVE to set my face because I get really sweaty. The makeup will slide off if I don’t set. I have always wanted to use Matte foundation for the ease of not having to set, but it looks so crusty on my skin.
