Nice look….but not sure why you would use the Mylands polish over top the Acks (carnauba-based) polish. A good coating of the Acks abrasive, then a thorough buffing off to a shine, followed by the Acks polish buffed at a high speed will provide all you need in a finish on a bowl.

That is a good point Mark, I think I just wanted another layer of finish built up, and I feel that Mylands is a bit harder surface (Although I have no scientific proof of that).

Hello John, Very nice video and beautiful bowl. Tom over at Ack's has a video where he use the polishing paste over the friction polish. He felt the carnuba in the polishing paste would be harder than the shellac in the friction polish. Just a thought. Great video. Stay safe.

Great video my friend👌 Ack's pastes are great. It's a pity those are only for USA. In Poland we don't have any good pastes for wood. Even Yorkshire Grit I had to ordered from UK. Shippment is killing my wallet 😵

That paste is outstanding, that is true. Yorkshire Grit is a good paste too, but yeah, I bet shipping must hurt the wallet. I just watched your latest video my friend, I would have never thought to do that with those acorns, that was really cool.

Just finished watching your video on Mylands and ACKs. I have used Mylands for years but always followed up with the Beall buffing compounds. Have you used Beall and if so how do you think it compares with ACKs?

You Know Emory, I have not tried the Beall Buffing compounds yet. My buddy uses it all the time and get great results. Now, I think I will have to try that out, thanks.
