You remind me so much of how I was when I was a kid, it is nostalgic watching your videos. I also enjoyed making small fires to help keep warm during freezing temperatures.

Really nice to see so much life in that spot! I don’t remember Beavers in that area years ago, but it’s a healthy sign they are there. Our ash trees are dying off rapidly and now the beech are starting too. I just love to see the many different patterns ice can develop. From treelike rings in small pools to elaborate shapes in bigger water. I don’t think I’ve ever noticed ice freezing in the star pattern you found, that’s really neat. Thanks for the Look-See! Glad you’ve got waders, that will expand your walk options. Stay well Em!

That was a great little trip and looked like you were having fun! It's nice seeing someone so exited and happy about getting out by yourself in the freezing cold. You need some really good socks with waders btw.... I have never saw those stars in the ice that is just amazing to see, how doesn't matter. That itself on a hike would make my day, even if I saw nothing else. We get to see things by getting out there that most people never will, I recognize and am very aware of those things, as I see them often and know that they are rare Thanks for getting out and sharing that! I have not saw a single beaver anything here since the flooding, poor fellows, I fear the worst for the. Maybe you can catch a couple and we can release them here?
