I have a suggestion....if you buy a large aluminum garbage can....and cut the bottom center third out, leaving about a 1 inch lip (that was the bottom) around the circumference, and then cut a U shaped relief cutout for your 30 amp electric cord on the 'top' lip of the garbage container...and you then place that OVER your new Firman, it will actually drop all the running sound down to a low murmer. Part of why that happens, is because the sound it now being directed STRAIGHT UP, over the unit, and multi-disperses in the wind carry. It no longer emanates in 360 direction parallel to the ground. As far as any rain, if you want to drill holes around the 'top' which now sits on the ground, you could do that, or any water will disperse past your electric cord U shaped cut out. A very cheap light weight, and easy way to baffle the sound and also, take away any attraction to it by passerby's...or those LOOKING for a quick grab and run solution. Another thing you might want to do...if you wish to keep it where I see you using it...on the side of your camper that is not the door side...is to build a 'security cage' out of green preserve wood 2x4's...and then placer your generator INTO, and then cable lock that to a tree trunk. In this way, the quick opportunistic disconnect, grab and run (loading into a waiting car...and GONE...can not happen. If someone wants to steal your generator from your campsite or home, they will have to take more time, and create noise before absconding with it. This is just to prevent a fast grab and run. Cheers.

What kind of trailer is that? I have the larger size firman and it works great! Would love to get a smaller one like yours
@shreddonkers2 жыл бұрын
The trailer was a Canadian made/Montreal based ProLite Plus. We upgraded to abit larger trailer but truly loved this trailer so much!

Hi, was it enough to run your air conditioner unit?
@shreddonkers2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it ran the AC but you can’t really have too many other things going at the same time. We upgraded to a newer trailer and still use the same generator… it’s been great.

Enough power to run the microwave

one last thing wich is somewhat important to me ....can you shut off fuel valve and let it run until carburator empty itselfe then shut off itselfe?
@45eno3 жыл бұрын
There are many versions of this Yamaha clone on the market. They all have the same gas cap and when you take the side panel off you see the cloned engine to the Yamaha inverter. I know the WEN version on the shut off switch has a mark right before OFF position which is the no fuel setting. You have to read the manual to find this as it is not labelled. Since these are VERY similar units being sold under different exteriors I bet most every single version of this has the shut off. I cleaned my spark arrestor tonight and fired mine up a few times and each time let it run out of gas using that dial setting. When i store these I simply drain the fuel from the gas tank, drain the carb bowl, change the oil and put in some fogging oil in the cylinder. I had mine sitting under the stairs for easily 2yrs today and added fuel, set the choke and it fired up right away, I think the first real pull.

Just saw a video about this model - best to place it not right on the ground but on a piece of cardboard since the air intake is right on the bottom and can suck in sand and dirt and kill it

... i am interested into getting one but i am not sure between champion 2000w wich is 200$ more then this firman..what is your thoughts on this? can you run a microwave and couple lights at same time with this unit? what have you run simultaniously with this unit without overloading it...
@shreddonkers4 жыл бұрын
Microwave and lights work at the same time.... but you probably don’t wanna have your curling iron plugged in along with everything else you need to do to get ready for a wedding all at once.
