Testing something even better than Flarm Booster!!!!!

Hi guys!
In this video i'm showing you what i'm testing now!
Something that i think is even better than a Flarm Booster, wich is way too expensive, comparing to what i test here!
What i'm testing now is amplifying RX up to 22db and TX also up to 22db!
But i recommend to use at least one SAW filter, so boost is up to 21db(19db with saw filter or 21,x db with cavity filter) for RX and TX.
One amplifier can amplify RX with 11db! So 2 x 11db = 22db!
TX is adjustable!
One amplifier can amplify TX with 5 to 11db! So 2 x (5 to 11db) = 10 to 22db!
In my case, i use 2 SAW filter, so the loss in 5 to 6db!
So i'm gaining 22db - 6db = 16db for RX.
And for TX, i set the potentiometer to minimum, so gain is (2 x 5db) - 6db = 10db - 6db = 4db!
I'm preparing a video with results next days, i will compare the results with one amplifier!
If you have any questions, please post them in comments section!(other questions than "what's your hotspot name?" or "what is your rewards?" or "how many new witnesses you have?", i will not aswer these questions, please understand!)

The app is absolutely wrong. The amplified rf signal cannot be amplified a second time. No matter how many boosters you install, the result will always be 10 db gain.

Amplifier is cheap with bad SNR. I tried to plug it into my Sensecap directly any it was saturated by noise, miner didn't witness at all. I made air type SAW filter, and it's working but no improvments. Amp is currently down, I'm waiting for proper good quality SAW filter to test it again. I think with good quality SAW or cavity filter it should work well. Beaconing works no problem on amplifier, every time I beacon I get 14 witnesses. For price it cost I think it will perform well, but it's not plug and play as flarm or acasom.

@@adaniel69 more or less same thing as cavity filter. It's filter with some coil and capacitor inside. Signal goes through coil out to amplifier and noise gets lost in metal case of filter. It is working but it's not very efficient, have a lot of looses. SMD filters are better.

Amplifier 1 for RX: adjust RX as needed. The Amplifier can add another 11db so the total will be 22 db . Amplifier 2 for TX. The Amplifier can add 5-11 db each. This means you can expect 10 to 22 db total output. If we use 2 SAW filters between Amplifiers, the loss will be 3db for each filter. So the total gain at the end for 2 Amplifiers and 2 filters will be: For RX: 22db (Amp) - 6db (filter) = 16db For TX adjusted: 20db (Amp) - 6db (filter) =14db Is this correct ? )

Both amplifier are for RX and TX!! Both amplifier add 11db each for RX(= 2 x 11db) and both amplifier add 5 to 11db for TX(= 2 x 5db up to 2 x 11db)! One SAW filter has 2.5 to 3db loss(2 x 2.5 up to 2 x 3db loss).

For this amplifier you cannot adjust RX! Is fixed gain, +11db! But you can lower the gain with a SAW filter! Together with TX! TX is adjustable from +5db to +11db!

@@GelecekSimdi. Now it's 3 days experiment for me.. Airbuddy- 868 filter - bobcat using Daniel's configuration on stock antenna (4dbi) but extended 5 meter Rg58 (-2.6) ...the results are extremely bad.

Yes, i replaced the connectors so now is plug and play with the miner and cable!(RP-SMA male and RP-SMA connectors). You can use SAW filter or cavity filter for 868Mhz(or 915Mhz for US)! You need at least one filter, between cable/antenna and amplifier!

Hi. This amplifier doesn't work with bias tee! But you can use 2 bias tees, one connected to the miner with RF to the miner and DC+RF to the cable and the other bias tee, before amp, with DC+RF to the miner(cable) and RF to the amp and take electricity from it to power the amp! But you have to make the amp waterproof first! 👍

you will probably get invalid witnesses because their signal is too strong, also if you keep stacking amps, doesn't it eventually destroy the miner?

It cannot burn the miner because is amplifying the antenna, wich is low signal! Waiting for a beacon from a neighbour wich is 300m away from me. Until now, i didn't got invalid! For RX and TX!

Amplified RX can actually fry the packet forwarder radio. You are absolutely correct about getting invalid witnesses as well. Helium has RSSI and signal strength rules, if not followed then you just dont earn.

Hi. It should give you results right away, when your miner will hear a beacon! Compare RSSI values before and after! But you should install a saw filter between amplifier and cable/antenna!

Hi. I can adjust TX between 5-11db. If i put a saw filter, then TX is between 2.5-8.5db!(RX with saw filter is also 8.5db)

Hello, I also have this amp and saw filter. Sensecap + amp + saw filter + 5mt lmr 400 cable + 8bd antenna, 9db antenna in the application. But in the meantime, I'm getting an invalid witness, what is the problem, how much should I do the 9db antenna in the application?

Hi. You can try what i did in my other video(if blue led blinks). Or try to measure the voltage on led's. One of my amplifier came with green led burned. But it works!

@@JusticetheGreyy you can check between those 2 big solder joints between the 2 boards near led's! You should see there 3 volts!

@@JusticetheGreyy right now, the network is running extremely bad... If the amp is not working, you cannot witness beacons or send beacons... Set the potentiometer clockwise to the max and wait for your miner to send a beacon. Or see if you can witness something... Is hard to say if is working without a vna...

airbuddy is waisting your time, buy the Acasom RX 12 - TX 6 with the cavity filter, install it after the amplifier and they have to be outside attached to the antenna, if the antenna is outside of course. if you want to keep testing the airbuddy, put it into a box, get a cavity filter and put them close to the antenna, not more then 0.5 meter cable between the filter and the antenna. Not trying to insult you but your waisting your time like this! First respect the rule off thumb and know what that means, you have to do more research and install the amp correct before the antenna. try it inside and look at the results, it will be much better..but airbuddy is not a good amp. are you getting more rewards? my 4.2dbi antenna witness far more hotspots than my 8dbi but the later generates more rewards which is puzzling

4.2dbi antenna have better vertical angle than 8dbi! It depends on your location to say wich one is better... Currently, the Helium network is not running well... Rewards are not consistent..... Saw that on more hotspot, not just mine....

Is your choice what antenna to use! This is why i cannot take a conclusion on my experiments with AirBuddy! The only way i could say something clear was if discovery mode was still available!

Hi! Did you install an antenna on IN port? You need an adapter in order to connect a normal wifi antenna! Check out the middle pin! Green light should be normal ON! Should go off only if a signal is detected on IN port, and blue light come on! I tested this even with a 802.11g router!

One amplifier is bidirectional! That mean RX and TX! When you install them like i did, the amplification is added!

you are talking 40db going into the miner right? specs on SAW filters are max 100mw which is 20db. You put 40db into the miner you can blow internal filters or overload front end. I'm not talking anything about TX on antenna side
