Testing Table Saw Belts - 15 year old belt vs New Belt vs Power Twist belt

I have a Delta Rockwell once owned by a Family of Troglodytes Yeah…it’s OLD. . 2 Horse Baldor motor that can sling a Tubafour Plumb through a wall ten feet away. I just put a Link Belt on it and WOW. Huge difference. The NEW V-belt will be nice until it sits for a week….then Memory comes into play. We see the winner. Cheers.

I wasn't too sure what the hype for the link belt was, but the rattling and vibration was pretty much gone. You bring up a good point with the regular V-belt, it would just become an oval shape and cause more vibrations

I have a link belt on my table saw. I just noticed there was less vibration on the saw.

Yeah with this belt the rattling and vibrations are almost completely gone now.

I think you need a new blade and then run this test .... That blade cut like Dog Shizen.😮

The blade probably needs to be replaced.

Try CLEANING it first. It’s AMAZING what a CLEAN blade can do.
