Alex Crawford yea it lasted 43+ but let’s be real It was only doing one task and it wasn’t connected to cell network or Bluetooth or WiFi. Or iwatch, With the screen 100% I don’t think it will make it to 43 hrs if it was on a phone.
@jarboer4 жыл бұрын
Jon Carlos no ship Sherlock. That’s what the iPod was designed for music, it’s not a phone. With the battery life of that you could just use it for music only and that would also allow your battery to last longer on your phone. On top of that if the backlight was off it would have lasted even longer. Would be cool to see how long it could play movies for, I’d guess at least 12 hours maybe closers to 20.

@@shoraz I forgot if the iPod knows. If I remember they do pause when the headphones gets unplugged so it should know. But that's not the issue. The issue is powering the headphones themselves. If you use over ear headphones vs earbuds the buds will make the battery last longer because the iPod doesnt have to power the big drivers in the over ears. It only has to power the ear bud drivers which are significantly smaller and if there are no headphones plugged in then it lasts even longer because all its powering is the iPod.

Pretty marginal compared to running the backlight continuously. All the ipods are running the same way which is the important bit, just a random benchmark.

DankPods you should do another one where its playing music at like 75% with headphones and the screen off! im sure a lot of people are imterested to see that!

If you really want to put a load on it, play video. I know some of the older ones won't do that, but that last one that he upgraded could.

So in 43 hours the dankpod pro played 550ish songs meaning that with 43530 songs on it, the thing could theoretically play music for 3400 hours (121 days) before you heard a repeat song if it was charging the entire time

What’s the gen model of the iPod you use to show the 43 hour timer?
@tankpier2224 жыл бұрын

Should test the battery usage with it in RockBox playing back various video types as if you were on a plane or car passenger over a long trip. Various movies and TV shows with different realistic file types. That may get it down to 18 hours

I just ordered the 3000 mAh battery for my 5th gen classic along with an iFlash solo, 256GB SD Card, and a new front and rear shell. Should be looking good by the time I'm done with everything. iPod got here a few days ago and it works great, just need everything else before I can get started.
