This is not really proper science since the hairs are not all starting from the same level of damage. You can see from the start that some are more damaged than others, but you wouldn't be able to quantify how much that is. This is nice, but not a proper experiment as the results will be affected by how the hair was at the start.
@arielts06
@arielts06 Жыл бұрын

I tried all of these and since I have virgin hair that's pretty healthy they all worked equally well. I use l'oreal everpure bond strengthening concentrate and I feel it's just a good as redken. I wish you'd tested it too. Anyhow, my bet for part 2 is that k18 is marginally better than all the other ones
@missNCW
@missNCW 11 ай бұрын
The entire point of these products is that they repair damage. Since you have healthy hair, you cannot appreciate how they work on damaged hair. So your conclusion on how they work only applies to you. It’s not that they ‘all worked well’ for you, it’s that they didn’t need to work. So you don’t actually know how they work.
@missNCW
@missNCW 11 ай бұрын
The L’Oréal one isn’t a real bond repair that’s why it’s pointless to test it. You can just use regular products anyway though since your hair isn’t damaged.

I think this is a nice test and all, but you have no way of saying which one works better because they are starting at different levels, it is clear that some hairs are more damaged than others. To be a good test, they should all start at the same level of damage.

@@themotherspassport4458What do you mean "same head"? She said "human hair extensions", which means they are made to be used with human hair-not that they came from a human. Your comment is precisely why controls are needed, as the majority of people on the Internet haven't gotten a clue. Finally, when conducting a scientific test, there are certain steps that MUST be taken, regardless of what you think she did or didn't do.

This is extension hair so it is possible the cuticle is stripped and these products won’t have much effect on cuticle stripped hair. For extensions we usually recommend hydrating hair masques with a bit of silicone in. Products with Protein are also not recommended on extension hair as it will make them dry and brittle. The best test would be on someones actual real hair.

I had bleached hair, ans I tried olaplex's products, but they were not that great. If you go to a salon, they use the stronger concentrated solution. But even then ut feels like it washes out. K18 was amazing. Even though you're supposed to skip conditioner and then apply the mask as a leave in (you can still use leave in conditioner afterwaeds), it untangled my hair so well. Brushing with just olaplex = eh, but brushing with k18 = so smooth. I feel like the whole olaplex line (not including the salon grade concentrated solution) is a cash grab bc each item is $28. K18 is pricey but it works and after 3 consecutive washes with it, you only use it after every 3 washes.

We do need to remember that hair is the same material as nails. So if they are brittle and broken you cannot magically fix them. They can be smoother but the damage is already done. So you can only do one thing and thats cut it. My hair is super long and because of money issues i have been doing everything on my oqn hair by myself. And its just easier and makes more sense to just chop it off when its broken. Especially when you know how hair and your body works😊😊😊
