Mixing hydrochloric acid and ammonia is a very bad idea! You essentially made a type of mustard gas that could have killed you. We don't want you to harm yourself to entertain us! Stay safe Raph!

Hydrochloric Acid and Ammonia don't make mustard gas. Bleach and Ammonia make Mustard Gas. Hydrochloric Acid is HCL. Bleach is NaClO. They're different chemicals. Hydrochloric Acid and Ammonia make Ammonium Chloride. Breathing in a little bit of it won't kill him. He'd be unaffected by breathing a small amount for a minute, maybe a little eye irritation. Prolonged exposure could cause irritation to the skin, lungs, or eyes, so you should be careful. For sure don't ingest it or get it on your skin. But it's definitely not as dangerous as mustard gas.

Rapha, you could have died from gas poisoning. Never mix ammonia and chlorine at home!if you have to do it, do it outside with good ventilation and a mask on!

Chlorine Bleach and Hydrochloric Acid are not the same thing. Chlorine Bleach is NaClO. Hydrochloric Acid is HCl. They are different chemicals. You are right that you shouldn't mix Chlorine Bleach with Ammonia. But that's not what he did.

I really enjoy your videos but the part with ammonia and hydrochloric acid is really stupid and I hope nobody will try to recreate it. Both chemicals are pretty dangerous, should not be used without proper protection (nitrile gloves and safety glasses at the very least), and the gas that is supposed to form, ammonium chloride, is also dangerous and can cause skin lesions and asthma. Also the chemicals are extremely harmful to the environment and must not be thrown with waste water or they will harm the ecosystem. So please don't play with chemicals if you don't know how to use them safely.

I really wish he wore a mask! I must admit I dunno much about this exactly, but I know if certain chemicals mix, like bleach and ammonia, it creates a highly deadly gas. So knowing he was mixing something with ammonia to create a gas? It terrified me!

1) For the "ice cream" you may have started with too much crisco. And many frostings are simply crisco and powdered sugar. 2) When you cook maple syrup down, if you cook it long enough, you get solid maple sugar. 3) Filling a piping bag is easier if you fold the top over once and place it in a glass.

Oh, this will blow your mind. You can actually also make fake sprinkles. You take colored polymer clay, send it through a tool called a clay extruder which creates these really thin lines of clay, then you bake them in the oven for a few minutes, then let them cool for a second, and then cut them with scissors. I used this to make fake starbucks drinks, fake cupcakes, and fake cakes for display because I think after a while the real sprinkles color will bleed and ruin your fake food. Another fun easy one is fake cotton candy. You just need really thick gauge yarn which you pull the fibers apart making it super fluffy, then shape it how you want and put it on the cone.

I’m 99.9% sure that grainy maple syrup you ended up with, was due to you letting it sit, AKA cool, for too long. And you likely overcooked it / reduced it for too long as well. But solid try ! 💛🥞🍁

i think the thing about the sesame seeds on the bread is that they have to be put on before the bread is baked so it'll stick, so in the oven the seeds should be just heavy enough to sink a little into the rising bread and with that many seeds it just kind of gets wrinkled and squished all over. don't quote me on this though it's just my theory
