I have a first generation Ninja 650 (2007). I was able to reach a top speed of 225kph. Seen some of the new 650s top out at 200 205kph which sucks. If you guys get a chance to ever ride a 1000cc super sport (gsxr1000), it's another freaking level. Great vid BTW!

Getting my "first" bike within a year debating on 500 or the 650 Road on dirt bikes and such and i have an 02 harley 883 ive rode on gravel for all together maybe an hour, comfortable with that but not the weight of the 883. 550 lbs is way different than ±400 or 370 lbs Any recommendations on which or pointers to start? Or should i get somethign smaller all together.
@MalachiJetter4 ай бұрын
i recommend the 500, i don’t think the 650 is worth what it costs. and since you have experience on dirt bikes you should be more than fine on the 500
@calebcrawford21504 ай бұрын
650 the 500 is boring
@eikoniseАй бұрын
the 500 is way better value; Kawi's 650 needs to be significantly cheaper than any of the competing middleweights for it to make sense.

I have a Kawasaki Ninja 500se bike. I've only driven 600km. I tried topspeed during break-in and reached 198km/h even though the weather was windy. I think it can accelerate to 210km/h when the oil and air filter are changed after running-in. The bike I have is only 47 horsepower and 33 torque, the European version.
@jamesgeorgevellavella19612 ай бұрын
Damn mine is slower lol 45hp Australia but 193/195 tops on flat ground. Wind increases and decreases the speed so I won't say what it's hit as it wasn't flat and I had strong wind behind me. Mine definitely won't hit 200kmh but I raced around with X2 people on 25 650l KRT and the max they got ahead of me was a tyre length (I couldn't believe I kept up and was disappointed with 650l but it has to be those riders as on paper I should have had doors blown off )
@jamesgeorgevellavella19612 ай бұрын
3700km on mine so it's all down hill from this point lol. For a beginner bike I'd say these are more than enough. I really can't wait for the warranty to run out so I can go all out on upgrades
@jayy241954 ай бұрын
124mph is enough speed imo. where i live 70 is the max you can legally go on the roads. idk why anyone would wanna go faster tbh. i feel going 85 to 100 in a car is pushin it lol so i on a bike im sure its a insane feeling. i want one
@MalachiJetter3 ай бұрын
speeding is reckless endangerment, i do not recommend it to anyone. that being said, the highway is a public racetrack
@knvsy3 ай бұрын
majority of people who ride are addicted to speed/adrenaline or they want to improve their cornering and technique etc. when you're comfortable going 100, and you are trying to improve your riding abilities or feel excited, then you'd be thinking about going 125, then 150 then 180, then if you're still here, you'll be wanting to eventually hit 200mph. it's the reason people buy bikes, the feeling is insane and when youre comfortable and have a passion for if, it explains why 125mph isn't enough for some
@jamesgeorgevellavella19612 ай бұрын
Time for a H2R. You won't get a better feeling after a hoon down the higher. My fav is zx14 as it's so comfortable doing 300kmh lol. Literally the most comfortable bike I've ever been on

Just hit rev limiter yesterday 201kmh and then second it 202 rev limiter kicked in. Mine does over 180kmh against strong wind. Being honest yesterday I had strong tail wind and finally got to 200kmh. It's been teasing me for a while 197 to 198kmh lol

The 400, 500, and 650 all top out around the same speed. I don't understand why they even bother to have all 3.
@knvsy3 ай бұрын
fuel economy, weight, comfort are a few reasons why there's multiple bikes that do the same top speed. plus people buy them, so Kawasaki will keep making them

Yeah i kinda undertand now why people over here tell me i dont need a bigger bike. 118mph is like 180 kmh i think. and in my country 120kmh is max allowed speed. and that is on the highway only at evenings times. this bike is just perfect. still no fan of the 2cilinder engine sound but hopefully i will get used to that.

It's more than 118. I have the 45hp (Australia and I'm getting 193kmh which is a fraction more with over 10+% less power lol. I can't wait for the warranty to run out so I can go all out on upgrades.
