The book bone would actually be handy for older people or those with severe arthritis who might not have good hand dexterity.

I feel like the book bone would be good for big and floppy textbooks for school. Whenever I'm studying I always find myself using a highlighter or something to attempt to keep a book open while I sift through my notes etc. The thumb thing would also be good for lying on your back, so you can tire out one arm first and then switch. Also the book darts YES. You could probably make those at home with silver tape as well. Maybe not AS pretty but definitely cost-efficient.

I’ve seen products like the book bone and I’ve wanted to try it so badly. Some smaller paperbacks are so hard to hold open and they shut when I’m holding them normally. I have seen some from Etsy I think that looked a bit prettier (although I guess sometimes practicality wins out over aesthetic).

Also! For the book pointer bookmark, I have one that’s a small clip that just clips onto the page and points where you left off. It probably can’t point to the exact word every time because it’s small and only clips onto the side of the page (kind of similar to the book dart but bigger). I think it could cause the page to become a bit bent but it’s a lot smaller of an area than the pointer.

OMG That thumb ring! Hilarious! I would use the book bone when i'm studying and need to keep the book open to copy quotes, but I use a book stand for that right now. The book darts look really cool! I always mark my books - it just shows how much I love them. But i use post its, as I use too many to be able to afford something like book darts. I really wanna get a reading tray for the bath, that comes with a little stand and a drinks section! You should try that. Also, book lights! I have one, but it is so hard to use.

If you like Book Darts, might I also suggest "Get to the Point" bookmarks. They're Book Dart-like magnetic bookmarks. They're a little bigger than Book Darts, so they're not as good for the passage-marking purpose that you use, but work much easier as a bookmark, imo.
@a.r.e.j.16937 жыл бұрын
There are many products the keep books open. They aren't made for reading novels and page turners. They're made for stuff like cooking books, manuals, etc, stuff you keep open to follow instructions but don't hold yourself because you're doing the other thing. Useful if you're copying some info from books for your homework, too. It's useful! I use one while doing origami, but it's a completely different and much nicer model than what you have. The rest of the uses yours have though? Joining in the wtf.
