00:02 Maximizing Androgen receptor sensitivity is crucial for experiencing the benefits of testosterone. - Lower testosterone levels can still be effective if Androgen receptors are sensitive. - Cortisol can negatively affect Androgen receptor sensitivity and testosterone production. 01:53 Reduce cortisol levels to optimize testosterone production. - Practice deep breathing and meditation to lower cortisol. - Avoid endocrine-disrupting chemicals by using glass or metal containers and wearing clothes made of natural fibers. 03:37 Avoid non-stick Teflon and prioritize stainless steel or cast iron for cooking. - Use a wooden cutting board instead of a plastic one and a bamboo toothbrush instead of a plastic one to avoid endocrine disruptors. - Avoid non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen as they suppress testosterone production. 05:21 Avoid excessive serotonin, soy, finasteride, and sexual exhaustion for optimal androgen receptor function. - Excessive serotonin can lead to decreased androgen receptor expression, causing sexual side effects. - Soy contains phytoestrogens that can suppress androgen receptor expression and increase estrogenic activity. Finasteride blocks testosterone conversion to DHT, which can reduce androgen receptor expression. Sexual exhaustion can lead to a loss of interest in sex and reduced androgen receptor density. 07:13 Androgen receptor activity is influenced by various factors beyond just testosterone. - Certain polyphenols in tea can reduce the number of Androgen receptors, but the benefits of tea make this a minor concern. - Avoid benzophenones found in sunscreen, as they can block Androgen receptor activity; opt for mineral sunscreen instead. 08:56 Prioritize sleep and avoid overtraining to optimize testosterone levels - Avoid overtraining to prevent increased cortisol levels - Supplement with amino acids, vitamin D3, and zinc to improve androgen receptor expression 10:40 Herbal supplements and amino acids can optimize androgen receptors for better health. - Korean red ginseng helps prevent toxin-induced downregulation in androgen receptors and has been used to treat various health issues for centuries. - Glycine and glutamine are amino acids crucial for forming and maintaining androgen receptors, with glycine also upregulating five alpha reductases to increase DHT levels. 12:28 Optimize Androgen receptor expression and sensitivity -Avoid cortisol, endocrine-disrupting chemicals, and certain medications - Engage in strength training, take specific supplements, and monitor effects

Slight correction on the L-carnitine segment: 500mg is a good dose for injectable L-carnitine. Due to its low oral bioavailability, you need to take upwards of 4-5 grams for it to have a similar effect, as it’s only about 15% orally bioavailable. Additionally the best form to take is L-carnitine L-tartrate since it has a higher oral bioavailability than the other forms and is better metabolized.

Useful info. An update on Zinc - Zinc should be balanced with Copper, even better is to take a balanced mineral formula. Zinc taken on a regular or long term basis can cause a low Copper situation Copper situation which can lead to Iron overload or Disregulation. I suffered with low Copper after 2 years if regular Zinc supplementation and had to be treated in hospital ..the symptoms i had were multiple - anemia, low body temperature, bone pain , low white blood cell count, irregular heartbeat, loss of pigment from the skin, and thyroid problems..I also had grey hair and aged wrinking of my skin due to Iron Overload which spread to my internal orgnans..hospital tests showed almost zero Copper and excess Iron build up in internal organs..after stopping Zinc and taking 2 mg Copper daily all symptoms were gone and after several months I had restored health...a reciprocal relationship between iron and copper has been established in some tissues. For example, iron accumulates during copper deficiency and regular zinc intake causes a Copper deficiency . An off / on approach is best rather than daily , especially if your not zinc deficient. Zinc bisglyconate is a well absorbed form, citrate ,picolinate are OK too. Magnesium Glycinate is an excellent supplement .. 👍

It's a great video! Congratulations! However, I disagree with DHT increase. The hair loss is one negative effect, but not the most important one. The most important issue caused by DHT is Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), which is an increase in the size of the prostatic gland. This is not reversible and it is usually diagnosed when it is too late. That's why men with Male pattern baldness (usually those who are having hair loss from a young age) are statistically much more likely to suffer from BPH when they are getting older, compared to those not suffering from hair liss. Believe me, I suffered from high DHT when I was younger and it's definitely much more potent than testosterone.

Male pattern baldness doesn‘t necessarly tell you something about the DHT concentration in someones Body. It‘s just that the androgen receptors in the scalpt are genetically prone to shrink the hair folicles. When this is not taken with the correct complementary vitamins like K and others, you can end up with calcium deposited in all the wrong places and end up with calcinosis like I did. This is extremely uncomfortable and can be avoided. You are far, far better off going for sunlight than taking supplemental Vitamin D. The isoflavones thing is a lot more nuanced than you make out. Most isoflavones like genistein do not bind to the estrogen α-receptor sites, which for all concerned, is the one people are talking about when they refer to "soyboys" which is an ironic ad hominen if you know anything about phytoestrogens and phytoandrogens (of which soy has many)reason being is α-receptor binding sites go directly to estrogen, β-receptor sites go to estradiol which in men will continue down the androgenic prohormone pathway ending in DHT, unless you have some strange polymorphism that would essentially make you trans or a hermaphrodite, so not most males then. There's a lot of studies showing that β-receptor binding is involved in things like the girth of a penis because of the release of prostaglandins during development stages, and the fullness of muscles(mechanism unknown, but probably localised prostaglandin release again) I've never saw it confirmed, but i think the "soyboy" thing is not anything to do with a feminising effect of phytoestrogens or SERM's, but probably to do with the goitrogenic effect of soy, and the anti-thyroid promoting diet that is veganism. If you already had poor thyroid function to begin with, adding a vegan diet and making soy your numero uno choice for amino acids is going to plummet your endocrine function and thus your androgens. Not to mention that vegan diets are pretty terrible for cellular membrane function unless you consume things like organic wheat germ which most don't, and even so they'd still be missing out from the sphingomylein repletion from egg consumption. Long story short, vegan diets are very non-promotive of endocrine function is what it boils down to I noticed you mentioned DHA too and like most people who blanket PUFA's you would be wrong about it being feminising. DHA is essential for cell membrane function and in this context maintaining homeostasis of the hormone glands and endocrine function. It's also one of the best antioxidants for redox status because of its "resolvin" content. Meaning it wont primarily act like an anti-oxidant or a pro-oxidant, it acts either or depending on what is required in the organism. Saturated fat whilst being prometabolic and hormone promoting due to increasing cholesterol is not anti-inflammatory in the presence of inflammatory cytokines..this is just facts(don't care about mouse studies..their observations are moot point in human nutrition)the only exception would be dietary cholesterol when eaten raw to main the cell membranes e.g yolk, bone marrow(doesn't contain cholesterol, but is essential in utilising it). I agree on seed oils though. They are generally trash, but it's more to do with how they are made and the solvents and reagents used than the actual plant itself. Cold pressed seed oils are probably ok, but not really worth the bother at the end of the day. They only really offer Vitamin E in the α-tocopherol form and not much else

Adding a comment here regarding serotonin so that people don't minimise their serotonin. Serotonin is a regulating chemical. Too much of it leads to increased body temperature, diarrhea, potential hallucinations, loss of coordination, and too little of it leads to emotional insecurity leading to excessive aggression, impulsiveness, and emotional instability (for example, narcissism). It is important to keep this in a middle range. There is only one study available regarding serotonin down-regulating androgen receptors. Serotonin can and should play an important role in managing stress (fix your gut microbiome to do this by drinking milk kefir) as well as laughter/play (comedy, pretending, banter, etc.), sleep, exercise, and so on. For those interested in politics and social power dynamics, serotonin (pro social) is the other option besides dictatorship through aggression - refer to chimpanzee studies. "Altering Serotonin Levels Changes Monkey Behavior and Status" is available on KZbin.

However dietary L carnitine has a much higher absorption of 70% and above. The research on it is sparse but unless ur willing to inject L carnitine from a vial intramuscular it’s not worth it whatsoever. "Bro guesses" for some parts here, although many things are correct. Plastic bottles and plastic food containers have been shown in studies to NOT be a problem. Microwave-food containers was shown to be a problem though. Soy Isoflavones is only shown to be a problem for animals, not for humans. Hygiene products is a problem though. And sunscreens. The bed, underwear and toothbrush precautions I wonder about. It has to be taken up by the body and just contact with your skin isn't enough. Also, there are some unavoidable things like the contamination of water itself. But the level of harmful substances vary a lot for different regions. Increases in testosterone due to strength training is NOT important since they are temporarily. Although in the long term the average (over a day) T-levels may increase in proportion to higher proportion of muscle mass. It hasn't been shown though. Going over the daily reommended dose for supplements (vitamins and minerals) is not shown to beneficial if you are not an endurance athlete that work out for many hours each day. All the reset of the "T-boosting" or "androgen receptor upregulating" supplements are just snake oil salesman products. If they had any type of effect, the body would respond by downregulating T or receptor or whatever is stimulated by the snake-oil product. The only way for something to work is to produce very high supraphysiological levels of T, like Steroids and if so then the body would stop (or lower) its own production of testosterone and when you would stop taking the supplement you would go into a period of very low T levels. If any of the supplements would have worked in a meaningful way, ie very high supraphysiological T-levels stimulated, then WADA would have put it onto the doping lists for banned substances immediately! Tribulus Terrestris, for example, has existed for decades and has never been put on any doping lists!

Acetyl L carnitine has an acetyl group attached which makes it able to cross the blood brain barrier. This is a great supplement to increase L carnitine levels in the brain but not the best for the body. Injectabke carnitine is best but second is L Carnitine LTartrate for increasing androgen receptor sensitivity in the body. Also Zinc picolinate is bioavailable yes, but the problem is that the body has a very hard time separating the zinc from picolinic acid. This leaves zinc picolinate binding within our bodies and not doing the proper job of Zinc. Zinc glycinate may be the next best option. Great video btw

Pretty much every plastic used in the manufacturing of food-grade disposable containers is going to leech not only microplastics and phthalates into your food/water but also some other closely related analogue of BPA - even if they're marked "BPA-Free!" It's just a name-game... manufacturers caught wind of BPA getting bad press and started to swap in other bisphenols like bisphenol S (BPS) or bisphenol F (BPF) which haven't been subject to the same definitive human research as BPA but are highly likely to have very similar negative impacts on the hormonal milieu.

Note on zinc picolinate, it’s likely not really bioavailable. Oral zinc picolinate is absorbed, but it leaves in the urine almost entirely *as zinc picolinate*. Whether it’s bound to the same zinc it came in on or not isn’t really relevant, since the net is closer to zero. Also, as someone else mentioned it needs to be balanced with copper around 15:1 should be optimal. Also, vitamin D in many ways needs to be balanced with vitamin A and vice versa, not just at the receptor level but they also greatly limit each others potential toxicity, and there’s interactions through gla proteins in terms of their carboxylation state. Basically vitamin A makes soft tissue calcification from vitamin D supplementation much less likely by raising the threshold for that to happen quite a bit. It’s too long to get into but the same story more or less with vitamin K, and magnesium is needed in several stages of D3 metabolism into calcitriol, which is what’s doing at least the vast majority of the work at the vitamin D receptor afaik, which is at least vitamin Ds main mechanism of action as far as we know, but there could be others. Also boron both increases vitamin D levels by slowing its break down, and lowers SHBG.

I don't know enough about the supplement forms to confidently recommend one, but picolinate, citrate, and methionine are all absorbed well. And I'm not a fan of pure B6 supplementation. It can cause the death of nerve cells. You can take activated B6 (P5P) in low doses (be very careful), but otherwise just get B6 from salmon, chicken, pork, and beef. Also magnesium should definitely be supplemented. Magnesium glycinate is best. You can also get it from mineral water and swimming in the ocean
