I don't really agree with the cocaine analogy. The feeling you get from cocaine would be significantly different from the feeling you get from TRT. IOW, there's a difference between restorative and recreational uses of a drug. In TRT, Vitamin T is used for restorative purposes, not just physiological but also psychological restoration. It would be a waste of time and money to take it if it didn't restore normal feelings vis-à-vis a hypogonadal crash.

It is still destructive to testicular health and certain portions of brain health as LH has multiple brain functions. Just to preempt your potential response, a female pregnancy hormone, HCG, has no place in the male body.
