I'm looking at Rocket Japanese for myself. My daughter is also interested in learning Japanese, but she won't be able to stay engaged for the long-form lessons Rocket offers. I think I'll have her try LingoPie.

I’m learning Spanish. I’ve been actually learning since elementary but would like to pick back up on it again! Majority of the population in my area speaks Spanish and why not help out and speak Spanish to the best of my ability? 😁

I want to learn Spanish because I’m a medical professional (ultrasound)and I want to be able to communicate as easily with my Spanish speaking patients as well as I do my English speaking patients. I do all kinds of I Ultrasound, abdomen, small parts, vascular, echo, with all different kinds of patients it’s important to know all that I need to discuss as fa as patient history Anyway, I think my mind has opened a little more to LingoPie and it’s not totally closed off to it. I mean everyone has a different learning style and if it keeps you interested and keeps you on track, then hey, go for it And as far as Duolingo goes, I have the free version of Duolingo, true, it’s not the best, but it’s still exposure until I make up my mind about which language app or apps to go with. Thank you again for your detailed reviews

Thanks for the good review! Do I also need to subscribe to Netflix in order to view Netflix shows on the LingoPie platform?
@TestPrepInsight8 ай бұрын
Not necessarily because they do have most content in Lingopie directly, but they do have a cool integration with Netflix if you want to expand the content library

Well done LingoPie vs Duolingo review. Thank you.
@chriscunningham19858 ай бұрын
100% LingoPie is the best option if you're simply wanting to relax after your main learning to just casually take in the language. For Japanese, Duolingo is only worth it for some vocab and script learning (just hiragana and katakana at the start). TLDR; if I'm not fancying something more in depth and formal learning (like after a long work day or something) LingoPie is great :)

Hey John any chance you could do a review of Lingodeer's Korean, Japanese and Mandarin courses vs. Rockets? I am curious how they compare in a like for like for fluency esp. given how Lingodeer is more known they started out being more for those who were learning Asian languages. I am esp. curious how they compare on JLPT level given Rocket says it gets you to level 4.

No problem, we can get that into the works :)

Been learning French since 2017 bc its such a beautiful language, and listening and also understand, when people speaking French makes me happpy.
