Have you even given hip hop today the slightest bit of a chance? Is it so hard to go to google, type in "hip hop albums in (whatever year it currently is)", and look through the albums and try listening to some of them? Do you not know how underground music works? There is SOOOOO fucking much good hip hop that is still being made. Look up some People Under the Stairs, L'orange, Shad, Earl, Apollo Brown, Your Old Droog, Blu, Mega Ran, Czarface, I could keep going on and on. Cats from way long ago, emcees that emerged in the "golden age" are still making dope albums... I mean, certainly not ALL of them, but Camp Lo just came out with an incredible album, this new cat Adrian Younge has done AMAZING work with Ghostface and Souls of Mischief over the past 2 years, Kool Keith just dropped an album that rivals Dr. Octagon in terms of quality, Madlib is still doin his thing, Hiero be killin it, etcetera etcetera. I mean come on, just check google periodically. You'll be impressed with some of the shit you find. Quit giving hip hop a bad name by acting like Lil Wayne and Drake are the only niggaz rappin in the entire world. Hip hop is still a great genre, yall just aint even trying.

Silent Gamer Yes it is very sad, he got a fitting homage though, by having a street named after him, where Linden Blvd intersects. i agree, their new album is a testament to all they have been through over the years, it even includes samples of their earlier tunes. MISS THIS ERA....Hip Hop was trying to SAY something about the crap that was all around!!! Tip & ATCQ had a message and it was cerebral. Where did Hip Hop go, all of the music is "Production" Values. Arsenio was good guy, but he always asked "BASIC" stuff. I liked the show, but Hall's writing staff was so-so, his show could of lasted longer if the "Cheese" was edited out. Not trying to disrespect AH, just always felt he had great guests and not so great interviews. If AH currently had his show back, it would be ABOVE all the current talk show crap! Regardless of my useless opinions ... Q-tip is the man!
