Thank god I found this video before I created a speed bump lol. Went through your video of tips cleaning as it was my first time and I encountered the locked selectors. Didnt force it, just took it apart a few times and made sure It turned smoothly and it finally worked. Thanks!!

My right side selector lever is lose on my sp5. The firearm has less than 400 rounds. I took out the trigger pack to clean into the polymer lower. I reassembled the trigger pack correctly from your videos and did not gouge or remove any metal on the FCU. In safe the safety levers are stiff, but in fire the right lever wiggles a lot. Thanks

If you have any concerns, you can contact Ryan in HK Repair for warranty service or buy a replacement right side selector.

I’ve always felt that if the detent ramp was a slightly softer transition, this wouldn’t be as frequent an issue. The transition is often sharp and the detent struggles to engage it properly, even when seated correctly. I’ve run into this numerous times on new packs.

Thanks for such a detailed video. Had some speed bumps putting my navy group, together put it in several times but something would bind up, turns out my detent pin wasn't centered so wasn't getting depressed as much as it should.

What if there is no burr and the safety selector still hard to move? The selector being a 0,1, F navy selector and the trigger pack being the U.S. made semi auto ambidextrous navy HK parts trigger pack The selector is German if that matters

Sounds like polishing of the contact points still needs to occur.

Wish I watched this video, BEFORE jacking up my SP5 trigger box lol.. I sent it off to HK and they solved the problem in no time, exactly as you described. One thing I had a minor concern about was the slight wiggliness of the right hand selector lever now when everything is put back together. When In the fire position, when pinching the right hand selector “tail” I can slightly tilt it out and away from the housing a couple of millimeters. Not really sure if it did that before or if I’m just splitting hairs now that Im noticing it. Snaps in and out of safe/semi with great authority and functions fine, just worried about the wiggle getting worse over time. I think it’s probably a combination of a small amount of plastic shaving off when I jacked it up, plus the slight filing and removal of metal burr increasing the gap between the selector drum and the trigger box. To what extent this wiggle is acceptable before it starts further damaging and/or causing selector to fall out is the question.
@teufelshundtactical3 жыл бұрын
Yep, sadly owners find out about me and my services after the fact. But regardless of proactive or reactive, I’m here to help. The wiggle is probably the result of removing too much material.

Thank you sir! I am enjoying binge watching all of your vids, so as to absorb as much HK knowledge as possible. Once my brother inevitably gets into MP5’s, I’ll be happy to share with him the knowledge I was too impatient to learn before hacking away at mine in the first place. Patience... that is the key to all things in life. (including successful trigger housing swaps!) one of these days It will finally sink in for me :)
