Tevin was born on 12 Nov 1976, Showtime at the Apollo S5, Ep10 live performance aired on TV on 16 Nov. 1991. So Tevin would've just turned 15yrs old at this performance.

The woman who got up is a famous audience member. Her name was Eva Issac. She always sat in the front row center seat and only missed one show. (For her mother’s funeral.) I remember watching back then. She was loved by everyone. There is a really great article in The Washington Post. Her story is pretty amazing.

Prince discovered Tevin when he was…12, I think. Not sure. They did a song together called “Round and Round”. It’s pretty 🔥 My favorite by him is this song right here, but Can We Talk, I’m Ready and Always In My Heart are also great songs. He was soo talented. Still is. We had the best R&B in the late 80’s, early 90’s. Check out the other I Will Always Love You by Troop. Probably my favorite song from back in those days. Great reaction.
