i just fixed a samsung tv, after watching a lot of your videos, found a shorted ceramic capasitor 22uf, on the main board, replaced it and now working again, thank you very much, you are a good teacher, and youre videos are very interesting and well made

Clever trick using a resistor to enable the PWM to a logic-high forcing it on, it would be nice if this trick would work on the main board but will not because the enable signal is software based. Great job and thanks for sharing.

@@leso204 In this case he's forcing on the PWM signal for the switching MOSFET's to work, and I'm not sure if this board has "Active-Power-Factor-Correction" or not. If your laptop screen uses PWM from an IC chip such as a Microcontroller, or Oscillator IC, then in most cases you would have to replace the IC if its not producing a PWM output because the enable voltage to produce the PWM output is internal too the IC. If the IC has an external "enable-pin" for PWM output then its possible to force it on if you study the datasheet.

Thanks Mr Teva, i work on those similar models. However today i could not get the led drive voltage to boost after replacing the same capacitor that you changed. The led drive mosfet was shorted but after replacing it it did not help. I even changed that small drive ic and it did not help.

Tried the method with a 120k resistor from 325V cap and I still have 5-6V... not enough for the IC to start. With original aux diode + 82 ohm reistor I get 3.7V... replaced the IC VCC cap, same voltage... what could be the issue? AUX winding open inside the xfrm? Thanks. I've learned a lot from your videos.
