Texas Governor on Biden's Response to Beryl, Trade Visit

Texas Governor Greg Abbott fired back at President Joe Biden’s contention that he had trouble tracking him down to free up emergency funds to respond to Hurricane Beryl. Abbott says the allegation was “completely false and bizarre." Abbott says Biden never even called him. He speaks to Bloomberg's Julie Fine from Japan where he's on a trip trying to attract businesses to the state.

Here's another question: Why have a Lt. Governor if he can''t assist the governor during times like this? We could just eliminate the Lt. Governor's office and save the state some money, if he can't work with the governor during emergencies such as this. And the reason he is over there is bogus also that is some shit he could have postponed. Gov Abbott is the single reason Samsung is building their Fabrication Unit south of Temple and the reason Temple has been building so many homes to house those workers. The after fabrication of the chips capacity has to increase and Taiwan does that exact function. These meetings have been planned for quite some time with more than a few major international companies in attendance. It would take 6-8 months to get them rescheduled. And the disaster was declaired promptly soon as the money value of destruction was reached. Took them 5 days after the Temple tornado to declair. That “phone” is a landline in the Texas Capitol Building. It is always answered and can be forwarded and has been that way 45 years.
