I tell all my friends about your channel. I love it that much. If someone wants to have a hissy fit over you not wearing gloves when you cook, then they can get over it. Yours is not a commercial kitchen, and your sink is right there. You wash your hands. Even if all the germs aren't washed off, they'll be crispy critters after they've been thoroughly cooked. Heat does that.

@@CollardValleyCooks I've worked in restaurants for 30 years, i am a professional chef. I promise you, gloves are not always worn and they are false security anyway. If someone with gloves on touches raw chicken, doesn't change them, them touches ready to eat foods, what good have they done.
@petegregory5173 жыл бұрын
My mom never wore gloves, mixed hot/cold, used same utensil on several dishes after she “personally cleaned” them, used same wood cutting board for meat, veggies or ??? and between uses she wiped it off with a cut up wet t-shirt. Today’s tv cooks would have heart failure watching her. That said; she was clean hands freaky (so am I, raised that way obviously.)

Ohhh girl you ain't kidding, Me too at a very young age 12 I started working in a Kitchen, I've had every position you could possibly have in them as well, The thing's the want you to ignore N do anyway absolutely disgusting,, There were fly's in the water that that they had me make chick salad with, The chick left over from the day or evening at that, Peel off the skin and make it. Pot salad left over bake pot, They would have those giant pot's with soup's in them, Make us put cheap plastic wrap on that never worked properly, But we'd have to set it on the floor in the big fridge they had Rat's and Mice all in and out of it, Food inspect..... Well that's not a big deal when the owner is in to Politics trust me!!!! There are food's that I just will not eat in Restaurant's, Any kind of Mayo based Salad's that can be kept for any amount of time, Souo ( NO - WAY!!!) Fried chicken unless I know they just brought it out, if I order a bake pot, it has to be fresh made, and more lot's more, YA really have to be careful when dining out, No Doubt, God Bless You And Your Family Stay Safe And Well

Kind of reminds me of my favorite trim carpenter, he and his wife just bought the cutest house and they’ve decided to paint the brick, well tons of people gave their opinion, including me, but anyway he asked his wife why they were going painting their brick and she gave their standard answer, and it’s because we want to. I’ve heard that several times since they’ve moved, and I like it, they don’t bend to pressure from YT commenters, nor should they.

Always give you two thumbs up! Please don’t ever let any criticism bother you. You are a “home” chef and with many years of experience. Be proud of your traditional way of cooking and passing it on to your family. You SHARE it with us, and your fans keep coming back and as in my case, buy your cookbooks and many other things! ❤ remember how much WE love you and appreciate your hard work and devotion to this channel. I hope you read these comments to an old video and remember them whenever you have a weak moment and run across a rude comment. ❤ This video makes me want to cook, wash my hands and get them in the middle of mixing up a meatloaf! Or maybe I will make some hamburger steak patties with grilled onions and form those without gloves! I won’t measure my seasonings, I’ll just throw in what I think it needs. I imagine taking the time to try and help people with measurements takes a lot of extra work and we all thank you for all your hard work!

Tammy I love your channel, you cook like I learned from my mom. She cooked the same way you do and how I learned to cook. I wanted to comment about the potato peels. The problem stems from people putting to much down the disposal at a time, not running the water long enough or letting the disposal long enough. You’ve got to give the disposal enough time to grind up the peels and enough flowing water through to flush out the garbage. So put less in at a time, turn the water on and let the disposal run and you can tell it’s empty by looking down into the disposal. Another tip, to keep all garbage disposal trouble free, turn the hot water n, turn the disposal on and then slowly drizzle Dawn dish detergent down the disposal, it will begin to foam but that’s what you want. Let it run with the water and Dawn fir roughly a minute, the anti grease detergents in the Dawn keep your disposer fresh and clog-free.

Turtles have a strong homing instinct and they will spend the rest of their life trying to get back home. If you ever pick up a turtle trying to cross the road be sure to put her on the side of the road she was going towards not the side she came from. It is probably a female going to lay eggs.
