The wildfire in the Panhandle has grown larger than the massive Bastrop Complex Fire that hit central Texas in 2011. Several Austin-area firefighters are battling the blaze in the Panhandle.

As some that lived in Borger and also survived the Bastrop fire. Bastrop was a forest fire it took days to get back in to the zone and the danger lasted weeks after. Borger and the panhandle is dealing with a grass fire which once it passes you can get back in the next day. The saving grace is they burn out fast, but in turn they get much bigger, spread faster. That is the deadly part as a grass fire can run over in seconds, and well rattlesnakes are in the grass as well.

I am sorry you are going through this. I live in Colorado and your govenor has been giving us the middle finger when it comes to fire. He's been doing this to California too. Mabe now we can unite and fight for our planet because its only going to get worse if we don't do something about it. Natures fury has no boarders, it doesn't care if its a red or blue state

The cost of beef will shoot up over this. I wonder how close these fires are to the slaughter uards just outside of Amarillo. They usualy have thousands of heads pinned up for processing. I think these fires might be just north of them.

How can they tell what started it. Can satelite images show exactly where and how it started?
