Brian Elton I disagree. Same sentence but always with zero chance of parole. Make sure they serve the entirety of the sentence, no good conduct early releases. A cop doesn’t have fun in prison as it is, so serving the entirety of what the jury gives them, one could argue, is more sever than your average citizen’s time (and rightly so).

@OptimalOptimus50 the difference between a good person, and a bad one, is the good guys don't turn sour...we all can get angry/upset/ even raged... A good guy will keep it together, a bad guy will stop pretending he's good, and become his true self. Have you heard the saying "you become your true self when you're drunk"? Some people are themselves, just drunk.. Some get angry(fire water).. Some cry..lol.. It applies here.. The cop became his true self, and acted as *he* saw fit.. Good Day Sir!(Madam?)

KILLER_BRO_EMPIRE ITS ME They absolutely should be held to a higher standard and when they break the law they should be punished more severely. They hold positions of power and authority which should hold the trust of the public . When you allow officers to betray that trust without being held to that higher standard with proper penalties you lose the trust and respect of the public . Eventually this will make any good officers job impossible, all because of a lack of respect for and abuse of the trust that was once freely giving by the populace.

I partly blame the War on Poverty by LBJ's Great Society. Socialism at its finest. Kick the Black Man out of his house and his children end up fatherless. The children must have the influence of a good man in order to grow up right. If hard times come and Mama gets on welfare, gov't rules are that Daddy can't live with her and the kids. Demoralizing! Abortion and No-fault Divorce also were critical in destroying the Black community. All these things intimidated them into giving up their greatest treasure: good character. Before the Sixties. Most Black households had a father and mother living together with the father working outside the home. After the Sixties were over, this took a turn for the worse as the quality of public education declined among all the other factors.

@Ryan Carlen Why do you feel the need to lie and insert a false narrative? It was not a domestic violence call. When the girlfriend called the police she explicitly stated he did not hit her or use violence. It was a domestic dispute call and the two issues are not anywhere close to the same in terms of Fourth Amendment protections. The courts have stated repeatedly that a report of a domestic dispute does not demonstrate exigent circumstances. The officers did in fact need a warrant for entry given that there were no exigent circumstances indicating a person at the residence had been harmed or was under imminent threat of bodily harm. Officers are not legally allowed to bust down your door and drag you away because you had a loud argument with your spouse. Your claim that the officers would be "at fault" is also false. Law enforcement officers are not "at fault" if they do not investigate and cannot be held liable in such a claim. Lastly, the officers spent a lot of time surreptitiously attempting to gain entry without ever knocking on the door or attempting to contact the resident. If the officers were interested in gaining access to the only occupant to conduct an arrest, they had all the time in the world to call for a warrant.

@ROOTSCONTRA You are certainly welcome to your ignorant, misinformed, and irrational opinion. Go read the background of the encounter. Officers knew exactly where the women was and that she was safe. She wasn't in the house. She had already spoken with the officers in person outside before the officers attempted to pick the lock. Furthermore, they knew that she hadn't been the victim of violence or abuse. She even told them that the guy was alone in the house. What part of this is difficult for you to comprehend? Yes, things can escalate quickly when officers choose to break the law. I suppose if you are a color-blind moron then everything appears to be in a "gray zone" of sorts. Younger generation must be taught and instructed in the specialized writs that allow citizens to kill police in self defense. These extrodinary protocols were formulated by Federal Justice Learned Hand during the Truman administration. We,as part of Civil Defense, were shown classified films of 1940 French Police murdering French citizens to help the Nazis. Dutch films as well . The scariest were Hawaiian islands under martial law post Dec.7,1941. We were a 'continuation of government ' cell post nuke bombings. There is no sunset on these laws meaning they are valid today. President Carter insured these special 'writs of mandamus' would be independent of FEMA etc. The trouble is we are aging out. I am willing to share the knowledge of the laws to execute criminal police .Do you think black folks want to know about these laws today? They have to read!! Many blacks won't read!!!!

The problem is that being a cop is a shitty job with shitty pay, so the standards have to be low just to keep bodies on the street. So you end up with very low requirements which means that youre gonna get absolute scum in positions of power. Want better cops offer better pay and raise the standards. Cops where I live have a starting pay of around 9 or 10$ an hour. Compare that with jobs where you can easily be payed more and NOT get shot at. Now exactly what kinda people do you think are gonna be applying for a job as a cop?

This is kinda of a silly thing, low IQ has nothing to do with how people act. So saying a Downs syndrome person is more likely to be jerks like these cops are. Most serial killers are very above avg IQ with most being genius level. Low IQ has nothing to do with it, it is humans placed in a position of power using that power to act this way because they got away with it for decade. Reason we see a uptake in police crap in last few years is because idiots after 9/11 militarized the police and gave them more power.

A year of probation?!? PROBATION?!?! WTF!? They kicked in a door without a warrant or probable cause, and the result is probation? I guess the court system has failed, and it's time to stock up on guns and ammo for home defense. Then ( 5:38 ) the scumbag attorney statement, essentially claiming that if we try to stop this abuse, the thugs will "hesitate to act", and that will somehow "result in an innocent victim or officer being seriously injured or worse". OMFG. I can't imagine a better reason than this to throw that attorney in jail with the rest of them.

Scott hill the cops attorney statement is so much bullshit it is not funny. there is a supreme court ruling that states the police have no obligation to protect you or any citizen. so they could walk away and never be sued if a criminal kills you or myself because they failed to act. protect and serve my ass. cops harass and fine these days, and if you call them for help they will come after the fact...

@@hellshade2 Unfortunately not anymore. I remember being a kid in the middle to late 60's and I watched a man pull into a house about 5 house's down, I didn't know him because there was no kids living there, but there was also a Pasadena Tx police car that was behind him and he stopped and as the other guy got out of his car I saw the officer pass something over to the guy, sure it was his wallet and he told the men that he needed to be careful on how much you drink and told him next time I might take you in. Yea they weren't out to find a way to arrest you.The new slogan, I came up with this about 10 years ago, It's "to Harass and Arrest". It's been turning that way since the start of Reagan's war on drugs and 9/11 finished the Militarization of our Police.

The hesitate to act excuse is becoming exhausting. When they don't hesitate to act and take time to think, they kill or injure innocent victims. In a situation like this with a man in his home who can be seen fully, there is time to hesitate and think about the situation.

And the truth is at that moment the cop UNLAWFULLY kicks in this mans door and UNLAWFULLY ENTERSHIS HOME,THE COP BECOMES A CRIMINAL and the homeowner has the RIGHT TO OPEN FIRE KILLING THEM ALL! But the problem with the system is the judges are also Corrupt,so if that homeowner took that approach he would have a Capital murder charge slammed on him and probably be put to death for Exercising his right. Can you all see the problem we have in this country? Even when the cops are in the wrong they are still in the right because NO ONE HOLDS THEM ACCOUNTABLE!!! Taken to the streets and harming individual cops WONT HELP ANYTHING.thats why our government runs its self in the shadows cause then the people can never stand against it nor defeat it. If you want real change, then you need to put Average Joes in the Legislative branch that Actually have an Conviction about the Constitution of this land being followed, plus have the intelligence to go about changing the shitty laws, then have the balls to Actually hold those under them fully accountable to those laws. We have a person like that in the white house, but he is constantly being stonewalled by the Corrupt system lovers and his hands are very much tied. Stop taken to the streets and protesting THE COPS,take to the streets with the mind set of making changes where it really matters, the Legislative branch!!
