Hi, I am not a professional at ball picking but I have experiences. I recommend you pick balls that are round, an alternative pick balls that are sphere or choose a 3d circle, these 3 are in meta and you should really try it out, hope this helps.

There’s a lot of mid bbq in Texas, especially in the big cities, only a few places are consistently excellent. I’ll let other comment on the rest of Texas, but if you are ever in the Dallas area and can make it out to McKinney, Hutchins BBQ is truly delicious. Some of the best if not the best I’ve ever had. Might change your opinion on KBBQ being better 😁

Absolutely, but it's always important to keep in mind that peoples palates are entirely subjective and unique, if someone's had kbbq their whole life, it doesn't surprise me that the first time they have something different from their expectations they don't like it, but Huston isn't where I'd go for good bbq regardless.
