She used her sister's passport, which will put her sister in prison for aiding and abetting a fugitive, didn't have any money so she had to sell her Jeep for 1/3rd his value, and took the 1st flight out to a country that has a huge U.S. ex-pat community and is a big U.S. vacation spot, and then thought she could use a similar name to her own while doing yoga, something she is well known for and actually how LE found her. Joe Kline is right and what most people know...you lay low, go to a primitive 3rd world country that, hopefully, doesn't have an extradition agreement with the U.S. (a 1-minute Google search will give you that list), live off the grid or in the woods/mountains (or "live simple"), and you give up your old life (yoga).

Call it luck but even luck without some level of competence won’t lead to some outcome giving her a 20-30 day head start. She evaded local, state and federal authorities and was two steps removed from a getaway that may have stumped international authorities for years. If she hiked over to Belize or some other limited controlled area and then get on a boat off the grid, she might have been Scott free.

After her surgery she got complacent and overconfident that she could just blend in and start over, new face and fake ID in hand. OJ got caught in 10 hours on the run. I've been cheated on too by girlfriends' and even my ex-wife. So I have some sympathy for Ms. Kaitlin Armstrong. I felt betrayed, anger, rage, etc. Does that sound familiar? I wanted to extract revenge on them for betraying my trust. But I couldn't go through with it. In time, it just wasn't worth it. Eventually, I made my peace with it. My message to Kaitlin is I get it, you are hurt and betrayed. I don't blame you for that. However Kaitlin, it does appear that you did commit a crime. You should be punished for that.
