Amazing breath control..... Vocals to die for. at barely 19! What an entertainer. Two other performance that you may like to check out is A duet with John Farnham and Olivia Newton John. Walking though the athletes ceremony. and Tina Arena at the closing ceremony.

Thank you, I'm a big Vanessa fan and loved your reaction. Yes she was only 19 here, and I still get chills listening to that long last note. Vanessa has an amazing vocal range, she can belt those very high notes, but she has a really beautiful lower register too. A couple of my favorites are Shine and Perfect. Someone suggested Wind beneath my wings here. John Farnham knocks this out of the park with his 1986 NRL Grand Final version.👍😊

Vanessa Amorosi has been singing publicly since she was a young child. There is a video about her on YT which explains how she was allowed to sing at a dinner-dance venue in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The lady who owned it supported Vanessa to become the singing sensation that she is today. Her voice range is E4 to C#6, Vanessa is the female equivalent to John Farnham. Lol quite the opposite She was privileged to "sing" at the opening of a great event like the Olympic Games, seen by millions of people and from all corners of the planet. Another story is that despite lip-synching in this performance, the best music producers on the planet never took her into account for being just another "amateur pop singer", lacking in skills and not versatile enough to stand out among the rest. It never happened, nor will it happen. People are tired of simple and digestible music. P.S. I'm so glad you responded to our requests for this performance she certainly did us Aussies proud that night , on the subject of great voices you should do yourself and your subscribers a favour and check out a young American ladie who fronts a family band of 5 siblings called Liliac she has a vocal range similar to Vanessa's and the band who when started ranged in age from 9to19 and they were performing for years before that they are the Cristea family out of Georgia and are taking the music world by storm .their tribute cover of Metallicas ENTER SANDMAN has over 11 million views and their cover of Ozzie OSBORNE'S CRAZY TRAIN over 10 million they also , totally independently , have released 2 albums of original phenomenal songs as well as 2 albums of tribute covers , well worth your time believe me .

Vanessa is from my hometown of Melbourne Australia. She can sing anything and is world class. She’s soooo underrated around the world. There’s a lot of live performances. She has a range of C3 to F6. And she’s still performing and has lost nothing in her voice, in fact I think she’s gotten even better.
