We never said it was bad on road, just that it’s slightly choppier on pavement when compared to fox live valve rigs.

I found in Baja mode when you really get on the gas the performance shift mode automatically engages and it is a lot of fun. It keeps the RPMs in the sweet spot and you can get the rear end loose constantly. Not sure if it wasn't working in this review or what but it changes high speed running tremendously.

Congrats on the video! I already have 1,000 miles on mine, I agree with everything you said! At first had many software issues but it has been getting better, i live in Mexico and here we already have the Ranger Raptor for more than a Year, i waited for 6 months and when ZR2 was released here i decided for it because of wait times and extra comfort besides being $13,000 USD Cheaper in Mexico, only one version for each. I believe im one of the few people that already have tried both trucks, i could safely say the Raptor is in a different category, i honestly think its a better vehicle, In Mexico we have less features for the Raptor vs the upcoming USA made. I still have some regrets on my ZR2 but ita growing on me, if the Raptor didnt exist it would be the perfect truck.
@birdymeo Жыл бұрын
Can you elaborate on your comparison between the 2 ?
@harolddenton60316 ай бұрын
I originally wanted the ranger raptor but decided it was not worth 59 grand plus dealers absurd 10 grand markup. So after adding Tennessee sales tax of 9.75% the ranger raptor would have been an almost $75 grand. So I decided just to buy a 2024 Colorado zr2 for 50,700.00 plus 9.75% tn sales tax. So ended up buying the truck for about 56 grand.

I have a 4runner, and honestly all the talk about the new Tacoma has had me looking closer at this truck, and it seems like a bargain in comparison. A front locker and big tires stock is awesome. Time will tell about the reliability, though you could say that about the new Taco drivetrain as well.

Great review. One of the best I have seen. I had a 2018 ZR2 now the 2024 Zed and I LOVE IT!. One thing they took away on the traction control was FUN MODE. Completely took away TC in all modes. I miss that. OR, it's an Easter egg and just need to find it. A lot of them with the 2024.

It's a Chevrolet, there isn't a word longevity in their vocabulary. Truthfully, as a previous owner of two Chevy's...I never kept one past warranty because my trucks were constantly in the shop. It is very capable midsized truck. Drove my 2024 zr2 truck last weekend in the mountains by hot springs,nc on logging roads and down one narrower forestry road easily crossing stream on 3 occasions. Could give a damn about having a loud obnoxious 8 cylinder engine. That sound does not makwbtgevtruck more capable driving on logging roads. Give me this Colorado zr2 with its multi matic dssv suspension to smooth out the rough terrain on logging roads.

Stupid traction control! I really hate when manufacturers leave, their "influence." In the traction control "algorithm". Not letting you completely shut it off. In your own vehicle, is complete bogus! Cutting the power when you need it! Totally ruins the "capability" of the truck. I have even gotten stuck because of it. Start pulling fuses, and hammer down!

I guess you’re not aware of law suits? I guess if they built it like wish list you have would get them sued after awhile for someone dying for not letting them do everything they’re doing no and making it safer for the customers. Without those and someone dies because they didn’t have it… out of business
@titussardonicus3387 ай бұрын
@TheTruth23rd I'm pretty sure that's false. Traction control is relatively new. I think there was actually a market demand for traction control, from people who thought they wanted an offload vehicle, but don't actually know how to drive.
@honkytonk20103 ай бұрын
agreed 👍 100 percent
@sturgis9727 күн бұрын
Well, they also put it in sports cars because most drivers don’t have the experience necessary to control a vehicle in general much more so than a vehicle with 300+hp. There were lots of people when I was in school that died in cars with much less horsepower than what we have today. Most of the vehicles of that time didn’t have traction control, rollover protection, or any other extra features to help you control the car. The vehicles are today are much easier to drive than one’s built in the 70s or 80s and even some 90s models. The suspension the placement of the tires and wheels power steering is more refined, etc., etc. all these extra things to help make a bad driver, a better driver. It’s because of those people that we have all the stuff we have and vehicles now. It sucks for people like us who are automobile enthusiast , but you see the way people drive on the highways the amount of wrecks would be worse than what they are if you didn’t have some of those extra safety features added in. Having said that I still feel like off-road you should be able to disable it completely.
