It is amazing at the price increase in the last few years. This truck was about $47k in 2021 as my XLT was $54k though with the 6.2l V8. Love my F250 and hope to keep it for a long, long time.
@theingobeck477211 ай бұрын
This truck is actually a couple thousand MORE than a base XLT 7.3L in the same config. The amount of stuff the 23+ STXs adds is a lot more than the previous STX package. Funny enough in order to get a similar looking truck in XLT (Sport Appearance) it's gonna be $10k more than an STX. I shopped XLTs and STXs and ended up with the STX because it felt smoother than the 7.3L XLT and had pretty much every possible option I and my wife wanted. The 6.8L accelerates just as quick as the 7.3L it seems although it felt like there was noticably more torque (possibly because the transmission shifted a bit harder).

The 7.3 or the 6.8 would be nice, but after 100,000 miles, pulling a 29 ft camper 25,000 miles of that, i have seldom needed more torque. Maybe in the heart of the Rockies, but seldom. I have this truck in a 23 model. Same options. The thing to consider with the 6.8 is that they pair it with a smaller transmission than the 7.3. What’s the 0-60 on the 7.3 and 6.7?

The last 6.7 we tested was 7.2 to 60, but we will re test the 7.3 and 6.7 soon.

@@TexasTruckChannel I bought an 6.8L STX (w/ basically every available option) over the other truck I was shopping which was a base 7.3L XLT with just FX4 and maybe 1-2 other cheap options. The 7.3L felt more torquey but the 6.8L felt just as quick to 60mph. The STX sticker was actually a couple thousand more than the STX I bought (but I got about $4k off of sticker in negotiation). I would have taken the XLT but the wife liked the paint match bumpers and black accents and wouldn't budge. So I was stuck with taking the STX or paying ~$10k more for an XLT w/ Sport Appearance package because of the other required packages. Very happy with the 6.8L so far and I've put half the miles on towing (~5klbs) in the Arizona mountains.

A 2015 f250 platinum 6.7 has a way nicer interior than that truck and for half the price. Inflation is completely out of control.

Solid choice. Mutually, not everyone wants a diesel.
@westhavenor95137 ай бұрын
Not true. No one wants a modern emissions-diesel anymore unless they're towing heavy loads full-time. The reliability and longevity of diesel engines is no longer a thing, not to mention the high cost of the engine option.

@@westhavenor9513 according to that sticker price & converting to Cdn dollars, that truck is $85,000 + taxes north of the 49th. My 24 Crew Cab with the 6.7 Power Stroke, running boards, spray in bed liner & folding hard tonneau cover was the same price

The honeycomb front grill looks great but $60K is still a boat load of money!!! Ford needs to dump the UAW and get a handle on their costs! This truck should be around $52K!!!

Dude a few years ago if you waited for the right time of year you'd get a f250 or f350 4by4 for 36,000 EASY. Never did they sell for sticker, they aren't worth sticker. With these trucks and SUV's now they are hit and miss with quality and they know it and they are profittingbfromnmaking junk just like Chrysler Jeep has always done. They aren't car companies anymore, they are parts companies.

Not sure why there is so much excitement for truck that stickers at 60k missing so many modern features. No heated seats or wheel. Single zone climate control. Keyed ignition without proximity. Non dampened tailgate.
@kingshawn1857 Жыл бұрын
Let's talk about it in 10 years when the same spec stickers at around 70-$75k I do understand its expensive but it's a beautiful rig it tows a shit ton it hauls a hell of a lot it's a roomy 6 seater it's got a powerhouse of an engine it's a work spec at the end of the day it doesn't need all the fancy gadgets and gizmos sadly though in this economy you do get less for more not the other way around but I'd be over the moon even with this spec honestly
@iq684010 ай бұрын
You can't even buy a Toyota that shifts normal. They must have a schiz programing the things or they pawned the transmission programming out to Mexico but Japan better take notice. Ford's are way better trucks than most, but the price is just not right.
