Hi Brian, I was like a little kid in a candy store when I found your channel! I think I’m at the point where you were several years ago because I’m trying to decide between an F150 with 3.5 L eco-boost and 1840 pounds of payload or an F250. I only pull the camper 6 to 8 times a year and I generally don’t go out of the state of Michigan. My thought on the F150 is get a truck that is a more comfortable daily driver that will work as a tow rig but I know deep down it’s probably not what I need. My travel trailer is 7000 pounds dry with a GWR of about 8700.

How long is your Trailer? Since you don't leave the State, Id say the F-150 will be plenty, but the 250 would be alot more comfortable towing experience. Daily driving 250 would be alot rougher of a ride and less fuel mileage. Its a big decision.
@mminniear9842 ай бұрын
I agree with window visors. I put the in channel ones on my truck and so often I click the auto up switch on my windows and because it’s a tighter gap now, it triggers the safety and the window will auto roll back down. Very annoying when it happens 5 times in one attempt. I’ll be going outside next time

You don’t have to do anything other than change the tire size in Forscan. Convert it to MM, send the file and away you go. Ford truck enthusiasts can walk you through it. If you have access to dealer level software just set the tire size to the tremor size it’s the same diameter nearly as the 295/65

I like the looks of your tremor valance, but TL truck was able to show the larger valance helped with fuel mileage. great video and info. I like a lot of the mods you have done. Similar to my truck. One note with the tires is as they wear out they will make noise. I did the chalk method and air them down to keep the tread level. The ride will be better and they will last longer. I had 295 65 r20's and not that it is a big deal but the difference is noted also on the actual MPG as well as odometer when you sell the truck. I have since switched to a Carli 3" level, 37's and bags and went to 5 star for tune and Speedo and shift adjustments on my 7.3. Subscribed

265 and 295 are how wide the tire is millimeters. 65 is the percentage of the width that gives you the height of the tire. If the first number increases and the second number stays the same, then the tire will be taller.

I love everything you have done except the level kit. Trucks are made lower in the so when you tow something it levels the truck out. By leveling the truck you now raise the front end to high and turning you low beams to a high beam. If you get people flashing the high beams at you, you will now know why happen, because you leveled your truck.
@BrianWatersOutdoors6 ай бұрын
Thanks👍🏻 but, the truck is still not “level”. You need 2.5” to level an F250 and this is only a 1.5” level. Also, that’s one of the reasons input the rear air bags in so I can increase the PSI when towing to keep the rear from sagging.

@BrianWatersOutdoors6 ай бұрын
There’s a million better KZbin videos out there that can explain it better than I can. It’s forscan.org, you need to apply for a license and then buy an OBDII dongle to plug into your computer and the OBD port in your truck under your steering wheel. From there you can eventually change a lot of the programmed Ford settings that come on their trucks.
