The best part about a stock antenna is that it hits before the top of the cab. Great for those times when clearance is an issue.

13:01 I had my entire windshield tinted at 50% and the tint material is fantastic in keeping the North Alabama sun from melting my dashboard. The tint on our Carbonize gray trucks looks awesome! On my 2022 F-250 7.3, Tremor, Lariat ultimate & black out appearance packages, the LED lights were an upgrade from the halogen. Love the LED. I really like your bed lighting solution.

Hi Brian, I was like a little kid in a candy store when I found your channel! I think I’m at the point where you were several years ago because I’m trying to decide between an F150 with 3.5 L eco-boost and 1840 pounds of payload or an F250. I only pull the camper 6 to 8 times a year and I generally don’t go out of the state of Michigan. My thought on the F150 is get a truck that is a more comfortable daily driver that will work as a tow rig but I know deep down it’s probably not what I need. My travel trailer is 7000 pounds dry with a GWR of about 8700.

How long is your Trailer? Since you don't leave the State, Id say the F-150 will be plenty, but the 250 would be alot more comfortable towing experience. Daily driving 250 would be alot rougher of a ride and less fuel mileage. Its a big decision.

I agree with window visors. I put the in channel ones on my truck and so often I click the auto up switch on my windows and because it’s a tighter gap now, it triggers the safety and the window will auto roll back down. Very annoying when it happens 5 times in one attempt. I’ll be going outside next time

Some nice, functional mods you've added, and the truck looks good 👍. Would love to have an F250, but don't want the payments. Builtright Industries does quality work, and I recently installed two of their panels in the rear galley bulkhead of my Hiker Trailer, and might order an additional one. Also have had their rear seat release latch in my 2018 F150 for quite awhile.

You don’t have to do anything other than change the tire size in Forscan. Convert it to MM, send the file and away you go. Ford truck enthusiasts can walk you through it. If you have access to dealer level software just set the tire size to the tremor size it’s the same diameter nearly as the 295/65

Thanks for the video. I ordered several items from your list. I appreciate you doing the research. Unfortunately the rear seat bench protector was no longer available. I like the looks of your tremor valance, but TL truck was able to show the larger valance helped with fuel mileage. Around town it's not a big deal, but on cross country trips it might make a difference. You going to add a transceiver to your truck, ie.. GMRS,HAM,CB etc...? just wondering about radio placement and antenna placement as the body of the truck is aluminum. Have a great summer!!!!

great video and info. I like a lot of the mods you have done. Similar to my truck. One note with the tires is as they wear out they will make noise. I did the chalk method and air them down to keep the tread level. The ride will be better and they will last longer. I had 295 65 r20's and not that it is a big deal but the difference is noted also on the actual MPG as well as odometer when you sell the truck. I have since switched to a Carli 3" level, 37's and bags and went to 5 star for tune and Speedo and shift adjustments on my 7.3. Subscribed

I love everything you have done except the level kit. Trucks are made lower in the so when you tow something it levels the truck out. By leveling the truck you now raise the front end to high and turning you low beams to a high beam. If you get people flashing the high beams at you, you will now know why happen, because you leveled your truck.
@BrianWatersOutdoors
@BrianWatersOutdoors 6 ай бұрын
Thanks👍🏻 but, the truck is still not “level”. You need 2.5” to level an F250 and this is only a 1.5” level. Also, that’s one of the reasons input the rear air bags in so I can increase the PSI when towing to keep the rear from sagging.

@BrianWatersOutdoors
@BrianWatersOutdoors 6 ай бұрын
There’s a million better KZbin videos out there that can explain it better than I can. It’s forscan.org, you need to apply for a license and then buy an OBDII dongle to plug into your computer and the OBD port in your truck under your steering wheel. From there you can eventually change a lot of the programmed Ford settings that come on their trucks.

I’ve heard those ready lift spacers roughen the ride a bit over stock. Have you experienced that?

I haven’t noticed. But it’s only 1.5”. Any higher than that and you’d feel a little more I’m sure

Brian, did you have any issues with that other retractable cover? and what were the reasons on switching?
@BrianWatersOutdoors
@BrianWatersOutdoors Ай бұрын
No issues. I had to switch because the F150 cover would not fit on this F250 and they don’t make one for this size bed yet.

Quick question on your aero skin bug deflector:: How tight does it fit to the hood, can dirt get in between the plastic and the paint Thank You 😇😊😎
@BrianWatersOutdoors
@BrianWatersOutdoors 3 ай бұрын
It’s right. There’s a strip of 3M tape that goes around the entire deflector

Other than the 1 1/2 leveling block on the front did you have to do shock extenders brake lines traction bar ext. I have a 23 350 and was thinking about doing the same thing.

How often do you have to vacuum the bed when you are actually using the truck for truck things? I put a bed cover on my wife’s truck because i have never seen anything in the bed of either of her trucks for the past ten years. If you have a bed cover and carpet in a new superduty, you dont need a truck, you need a SUV.

Let’s be clear here. I don’t care about your wife, her truck or what she puts in her bed. Stop caring about how I spend my $$ and move on.

I have a bed rug in my f150 and use my truck like a truck. I haul mulch, cut trim with my miter saw on the tailgate, haul tools, etc. Few things... 5 gallon paint buckets stay put and don't slide all over the place like they do on line-x. Crawling into the bed is much nicer considering the padding. Also- much less dust all over my tools and contents. Don't hate on bedrug. It's amazing. Easy to clean with a standard vacuum. I'm a huge fan of them!
