How to Download Images from Flickr: flic.kr/p/26coE19
---------------------------------
*To stop fabric edges from fraying, mix white glue and water about 50/50 and lightly brush mixture on the cut edges of your wings. Let dry before proceeding.
*Sewing vein patterns or around edges of wings and adding beads or toupee is purely optional.
*Fabric weights vary greatly. For the wings, I like to use canvas, heavy twill, tapestry or lightweight upholstery fabrics.
*The body pieces were cut from polar fleece. The toupee' was cut from craft fur. The one I cut was a similar shape as the body pieces, just smaller. this is something you can experiment with to find the look you like best because wing placement may differ from one moth to another.

perhaps she'll also need to make a lightbulb or lantern that the moth is on it's way to visit. It would be fun to have removable wearable parts on the cover of a journal. I noticed she used her little needle book she made in an earlier episode. I thought about going to the craft store today, but the line was way too long.

Thank's Nik, you make my day when I open the computer in the morning and there is a Nik the Booksmith video waiting for me. I made 5 book/library brooches to give as Christmas gifts, and i love the moth brooch as well. I'm so grateful that you have the strenght to continue making videos, but remember allso to make time to take care of your self. I know from experience it's not easy, when the inspiration hits and you forget the world around you...and then have to take medicine to cope the rest of the day. So thank you for this early Christmas gift, I think I make at least one moth fly before this year ends.
