Here are some reasons why a woman’s texts are short and she doesn’t initiate contact with you.
In this video coaching newsletter I discuss an email from a self-professed “advanced” viewer. He’s only read my book a few times and watched some videos, but is obviously cutting corners, being lazy and cherry picking information. He’s now had four dates with a woman and hooked up with her on the third and fourth dates. However, he says that she doesn’t really initiate contact with him and her texts seem short. He admits that he is texting more than I recommend this early on, but believes the short and flirty nature of them should cause her to be more attracted to him. He asks if he should just hang back and wait to hear from her and if she will do all the pursuing from now on.

I think one reason why some guys overpursue , at least speaking for myself, is that chances with women don’t come by that often, and I definitely put in the work to try to talk to girls in public and put myself out there. If a girl comes along and shows you some interest after months or years of a dry spell it’s really difficult to hold back because you have no idea when it might come along again. So, the whole system sucks. Average guys don’t have much market value, and then when they do make a connection with a woman we’re supposed to act like we’re too cool for it, when in reality we’re starving

She probably wants to feel safe but doesnt - and that's why she hasn't opened up emotionally yet either. It's a massive investment for us when we sleep with men. Texting them first on top of sleeping with them early feels very forward to us. Or she likes the sex but she's also dating other men and so she's not totally focused on you. Either way, you have to give it time. Sleeping with us then not initiating texts and calls feels awful to us and if we like ourselves, we would leave. It's not psycho - it's to do with hormones and anxiety. There's a reason why women are advised not to sleep with men until they are emotionally secure with them.

Think the 3rd and 4th date isn't too early, I'd say 80-90% of women I have been with have been intimate by the 2nd date, 3rd feels drawn out in all honesty but I understand some women take a bit longer. I think Corey is right, why do we have to initiate texts if you didn't ask? Women get smothered very easily, so texting her after sleeping with her could just as easily send a woman the "I'm looking for a relationship" vibe and us men all know what women do when that happens, so you can't have it both ways, lady, I'm sorry.

This newsletter sounds similar to a girl I dated beginning of this year. We would go on dates once a week, have sex, but I felt like she was only going along with the ride. Never over texted or over pursued like this guy, just simply would text to set the date which she would accept. Almost like clock work I'd do it on a Wednesday and the date would be either Friday or Saturday. But after 6 weeks I finally brought up that it takes two to tango, and she got pissed and said we should go our separate ways. So in the end I accomplished what Coach says you found out what she's really in for and my conclusion was she just wanted to be courted like a Queen and took advantage of the free drinks and dinners. After watching this video only thing I would have done differently was stretch it out longer and maybe wait 2 weeks to text her to see if she'd reach out and be excited. But in the end, believe I dodged a bullet that it ended sooner rather than later.

@@karenmassey8354 I didn't want to write a novel so I didn't include every detail, but what I forgot to mention was it was 6 weeks in and I was still never getting those spontaneous texts, an effort from her end to start conversations, which is all normal behavior when a girl is interested in you 6 weeks in. Just cause she went on dates with me that's not a huge sign. Like Corey says in the book, all she has to do is say yes, dress nice, and get a free meal/drink. She doesn't lose anything. So yes as I stated, when I expressed to her that it "takes two to tango" she freaked out. Again, she was just a user

Yeah, well, not all women are the same. While I agree you should mirror their texting style, just because somebody doesn't initiate contact or uses short responses doesn't mean that they don't have any interest. My girlfriend has always replied with short responses, and she only initiates if she doesn't hear from me for a long time. We've been doing double monkey backflips like crazy, and she's all over me when I see her in person, to the point to where the public displays of affection can even get to the point of embarrassment sometimes. She really cares about me and is all over me all the time. But, if I don't text her, it's going to be awhile before I hear from her. If I do text her, she responds immediately, but it will be a short response. That's just the way she is. She uses text for what it's supposed to be used for, quick messages, not long conversations. That's what the real phone is for. I will agree, however, that in general, the women who find you attractive will text you, initiate contact, etc... but not all women are the same. You have to look at the big picture. You don't just judge interest by text style, but also how they are with you in person.

Hi Coach, there is this girl I met at a club, and we went for a few dates for like 45 days. She used to text me first as I maintained a policy, of her to contact me first, after sometime she was not doing that, I decided to pull back, she started contacted me but her conversations were single words and there was a time she accused me that I went silent on her, when I asked why she her communication has been less and less. I tried to be a bit more chatty but her behavior was the same. How do I deal with that?

When she started to contact you again, I would have just tried set up another date / meet as Corey teaches. If she gives you maybe answers, just politely rescind your offer and leave the ball in her court.

There's this girl that I've seen on dating apps plenty of fish and tinder. I have a huge crush on her. I swiped right on Tinder and plenty of fish but she never swiped right back. I noticed she was on these apps for a couple of years. I messaged her on plenty of fish but she never replied. This was a few years ago. I followed her on Instagram probably a year ago and I used to reply to her stories she would always respond but she never seem to initiate contact. So I ignored her for a while. Then all of a sudden about a week ago. She swiped right on Tinder for the first time. So naturally I swiped right and we matched and we began to chat and I was thinking to myself surely she knows that I am the guy she was talking to on Instagram. We began to have small chat and I made a joke and she disappeared for a week and I text her on tinder saying that the joke didn't go down when I didn't get a response and she said that she didn't have the energy to go on Tinder so I said to her she was better off and I unmatched her. She says on dating profiles that she doesn't want any time wasters and that she is is really looking to meet someone and see where it goes. She lives a an hour and a half from me and I really want to meet her but I don't want to seem desperate and am finding it hard to read her and know if she likes me or is just using me for attention. I try to get over her but for some reason I am always drawn back to her. I am kind of afraid of asking her out because I don't want to look desperate. I may have over pursued her from time to time but do you think she possibly does like me if she liked me on Tinder. Please help.

This is exactly happend to me, this girl I date is 27 and i’m 32. She’s really has that thing that attracks me, something you wont find everyday. And that’s where I made a huge mistake, i have 4/5 girls a date / talk with but she is different and now I understand that you need to treat every women the same, especially in the first 2 months. I was way to much hang up on her, talking an chatting for hours on the phone. Come on man I know! Last Saturday was our 3 date and see what happens, I was way to hyped to see her and beside the sex we werent getting emotionally closer, I talked also way to much crap. Sunday I woke up, had for the 2 time sex and I took a shower and drove back home. From that moment on she responded very late in the evening with a bullshit message and sad nothing about her feelings. She turned cold, i was way to nice with my response i know. She messaged me last night a lame as message with no questions back. I’m going to wait at least till this Friday to send her something random and ask her when see is free to get together for a drink and get off the phone immediately. And yes I to learn it the hard way…back on the fifth time reading and making notes.

Damn, usually your videos I’m watching are 6+ years old haha. But hey, 10 years, 2 kids, mortgage and cars later , my girl 31 years old began seeing a 24 year old little brother of a coworker. I almost bought a phone session but 3% man and these videos have changed my life on their own. I’m still working toward 100% happy with myself but after just 2 or 3 months, the break up type feelings are gone and encouraging her to go when she asks if I care if she leaves for the evening (ie, go get some pecker haha) has become so incredibly easy. (We still live together because I’m the king of this castle and if she wants her space she can go have it outside of mine and my children’s) thanks coach!

Nick I agree, it does. She was going to her friends house. Her friend lives with her boyfriend. The little brother is the little brother of that guy. She works with the couple. It obviously stemmed from going to visit the girl and being surrounded by the brothers. Now when it did all begin I was giving her space as I could tell she was pulling back while I had the illusion of action, this all before I found coaches work. Anyways she’d go a few times a week for the first month. Second month was 1-2 times a week and now has slowed to once a week. I’ve been basking in the glory of knowing the boy doesn’t know what he’s doing. “Yes” she’s still going there ultimately, but she also spends the evening at home looking at me, who has overhauled myself. I’ve been going to the gym for a couple of months, began already in “decent”, shape at 6’1” 185 but with a slight gut and non defined body. Now I’ve lost my gut, I’m building arms and chest, and I’m as tan as any runway model in Florida. I showed up home after work last night already changed into my workout clothes , no shirt..played with the kids in the yard just having an absolute blast all positivity 100% of the time and she actually came outside , left phone inside and was staring the entire time, I could easily tell. Even when she spoke to me she couldn’t stop her eyes from checking out my stomach before getting back on track haha but last night she went..which is funny to me. I guarantee you she wore that kids member to a nub picturing me the entire time 😂 she came home and got in the shower with me this morning. I didn’t pay her any mind. Got out before she did. Left to the gym before work. Ps, I’m not trying to get her back. After what she did it’s clear she can’t be faithful. I will have my fun though.

Chris Anderson negative. While I know I have what it takes to win her over the kid she’s trying to “fill the holes” in our relationship with (pun intended), she belongs to the streets! If they cheat on you now, no amount of self improvement, 3% man, or anything will keep them from doing it again unless you want to spend every single day keeping your game tight as f*ck 24/7 365. And while we should all strive for these lessons to be second nature, we will inevitably have off days. You will end up with a cold, the flu, an injury, something that will keep you down for a little while. You don’t want to worry about a cheater doing these things to you for something unforeseen. I’d love to keep my family together, but staying with a cheater is not love. For me the biggest difference and the one single word that I heard and researched and woke me up, was codependency. All of the things I did that I thought I was doing because I loved her were out of my need to take care of someone. This made me feel better about my own shortcomings. Deeper issues once again. Learning where your issues stem from are the real lessons. Keep at it if you’re in a similar position. Don’t let an undeserving woman reap the rewards of your personal growth and efforts to become a 3% man!

When I am bringing by A game, I find that chicks pursue me very quickly, like after 1-2 dates. I have become very conditioned to women chasing me. As a result, I am able to sniff out these structured women quickly and promptly run for the hills. I just do not have time for women like this.

“Always did well” a personal reality check I had to have was “with what caliber women” the honest answer “train wrecks” the even more brutality honest answer was “ I sought out dysfunctional women so I could be #1 in the relationship and not work on myself!” This is both cowardly and selfish. Like attracts like working on becoming the best version of myself - to give the best version of myself to induce the magnetism of higher quality women.
