This tutorial has been super fun to follow along with! However, what is an easy way to parent the xgen fur to the model? I can't seem to figure this one out. When I move the model, the fur won't move with it, and I am unsure how to move it at all, it seems to be stuck in place.

It takes some practice! If it's too crazy, try applying it to just the bump map. Hope that helps!

great tutorial, i have one error....i am applying file for displacement but still there is not change...it shows as usual render only..i have refresh it many times but still its not showing displacement,, please help,,thanks in advance

I'm not sure Sonia. There's a couple of things you can try. Try adding a regular b/w file (like noise) to your displacement and see if it works. Make sure your mesh is pretty high. The file is a tif/png, (avoid jpgs). Try a new Maya file. Sorry, not sure what your error is. Hopefully some troubleshooting helps! Good luck!

Thanks, I got it to work really well. But when trying to import into Unity, my whole shading network has disappeared. I exported as FBX and imported in Unity and also tried copying the scene folder and source images folder directly into the Unity project but neither worked. The materials are blank in Unity. Any suggestions? Thanks again, Adinda

Hi Adinda, there are very few shading networks that transfer from software to software. You'll have to rebuild the shading networking using Unity's shaders. It would be the same for Epic's Unreal. I hope that helps!
