Any tips to make this hairstyle keep its texture? I have made lots of attempts with fringes and am trying to figure out all the steps. Is strong hold clay enough? Should I use a comb before and then do this? Does slightly damp hair work best? How much does seasalt hair product work? Here is the steps I do: I t shirt dry it after showering till it is damp but not to wet and then start working on combing it a bit. Then I add clay and hairdry. Should I use clay before drying or not i wonder bc u did.

@JordanMcKeithan
@JordanMcKeithan 2 жыл бұрын
If you feel like it’s loosing texture throughout the day, it could be an issue with the product not having a strong enough hold. Meaning the heat of the sun or sweating melts it away. I would recommend trying something with a slightly stronger hold but use a little less product. Do the same steps with the hair dryer and sea salt spray and you should be good. If it starts a fall later in the day again, you could always bring the product with you where ever and apply a little more as needed.

I can't tell because you don't have a shot of you without the hat and no product (just washed) but do you have FINE HAIR? Like is your hair strains thinner and more delicate/softer than most?? Not that you're losing your hair, just the size of the strains are very thin in diameter? The reason I'm asking is my hair is very fine and I want to know if this will work for me. I also have a huge forehead.

RBAddict no worries dude! I actually have thicker hair and I have a lot of it. The great thing about this hairstyle is that it can pretty much work for most hair types. So even if you have thinner hair, you should still be able to achieve a similar look!

I ask for a tight taper on the sides of my head, texturize the top, leave about 3-4 inches in the fringe/front and decrease length as you move toward the back of your head!

what would you ask your barber for this cut?
@JordanMcKeithan
@JordanMcKeithan 5 жыл бұрын
I ask my hair stylist to cut a tight taper on the sides, shorten the back and middle of my hair on top and trim the front. The most important thing is that I ask mine to texturize my hair! That’s what gives it this look!

Use the hot setting for styling your hair, cool setting to diffuse the heat out of your hair and lock the style in place.

Does pomade work
@IsabellaaaRider
@IsabellaaaRider 5 жыл бұрын
I know I’m late but definetely not, never use pomade if this is what you want. Pomade is for slicked, straight hair definitely not for messy hairstyles it’ll just look greasy and weird. Sea Salt spray, clay and a blow dryer should do the work buddy. If you don’t have that stuff already invest in it and you’ll definetely not regret it.
