Love that stitch. Very clear instructions. You do one thing that many demonstrators fail to do, state very clearly the multiples required to alter the size of the cloth.

Thank you for this video - nice stitch - but what I really appreciate, which many crochet instruction videos fail to do - is the close ups with your camera so the viewer can easily see how you’re creating the stitch

How many chains for a 8x8 dishcloth do you use
@AmandaCrochets Жыл бұрын
I would try maybe 27 chains instead.

I am confused about the single crochet into last stitch at the end of the row because I have 3 chains on first row at the end?

You will make a single crochet into the top of the third chain.

@@AmandaCrochets thank you Amanda and then for round 2, round 3 etc. there are two stitches at the end so do I skip those 2 and then single crochet into the chain from the turning chain?

Amanda thank you the tutorial ❤️. This pattern is easier than I thought it would be which pleased me because I am a newbie to crocheting. I have questions if you can help me 1, do you have an easy pattern for a dishcloth, 2, have you ever used the LED Crochet Hooks? and is a ball of cotton yarn 100g usually enough for face washers and dish clothes?I bought Clover Hooks in a complete set with scissors, tape measure, needles, row counter and stitch markers but find at night the lighting is not good so did wonder if the LED Hooks would help. Im really a knitter and a tight one at that so trying very hard to make my foundation chain a little looser.
@AmandaCrochets3 жыл бұрын
You're very welcome Barbara! I'm glad you gave this pattern a try. To answer your questions, yes I do have a few other dishcloth patterns on my channel. You can check those out here: kzbin.info/aero/PL54fYfcQsoSHJf6YF8vtFVHxQJXE_b9Gy. I haven't used the LED crochet hooks before, but I have heard about them. I can't say how well they work, but I do have an Ottlite lamp that helps keep things nice and bright. I found mine at Joann Fabrics (don't forget to use coupons), but you might be able to find them on Amazon as well. That's just an alternative. However, you can always purchase one of the LED hooks to see if you like it or not. For yarn, you can get a full dishcloth out of a 100g skein of cotton yarn. If your foundation chain is really tight, I suggest going up a hook size or two to make your chain. Once you made your chain, switch back to the smaller hook you wanted to use for that pattern. That usually helps keep your chain a little more loose. Hope that helps!
@lindathompson6499 Жыл бұрын
If you crochet tightly, use a crochet hook, one size, larger for your foundation stitch, then go back to your regular size
@kelliehart47983 жыл бұрын
How many rows did you do on this dishcloth

Struggling with the edges... Am i right going into the chain, because it covers the single crochet from the previous row! Driving me mad lol
@AmandaCrochets2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you will be going into the chain for the last stitch of each row. 😊 you can always put a stitch marker in the very first and very last stitch of each row to help.
@rostunes4 жыл бұрын
isnt this a bit like the moss stitch?
@AmandaCrochets4 жыл бұрын
Not quite. I would say this is similar to the sedge stitch.
