Cool as always. One caveat on the material by vertex selection: If you use subdivision surface modifiers this will distort the borders between the materials. But for all linked mesh parts it is probably one of the easiest methods.

This is golden advice, and it's free...Why are there so many dislikes?
@miracleshappen4483
@miracleshappen4483 6 жыл бұрын
Sakhile Nikomo, there are quite a few of those terminators of joy who have been attacking the most creative people only because they're jealous. There shouldn't be a dislike button on KZbin. If you want to offer constructive criticism, just write it down in a civil way. I don't know why KZbin keeps this really "hatred-fueling" option. You really don't like something? Don't watch it! End of the story.

Hi Gleb I watched the video of your presentation at Blender Conference 2017 in the subject "The Secret of Making High Quality Art in Blender and Everywhere" and I was blow away. Now I see this and I'm being blow away again! I use Autodesk's 3ds max but I really excited about blender. Things like "Paint in 3D" or "Project a texture" in 3ds max are so weak, slow and bad in that program (The truth is that tools for paint basically doesn't exists). I'm in a studio where a big project would have so benefit so much of paint projection (it would be ridiculously easier, ridiculously faster and the results would come much better). I really think about learning blender. Unfortunatelly my long experience with max makes blender very confusing for me (learning another 3d software is very painful, specialy when the UI is so different), but after seeing you I will make the promisse to learn blender. You got a new subscriber and fan!

Hey Gleb, I can't get the normal node to work for me in 2.79 on Suzanne. I have the same node setup as yours but it just doesn't want to work.
