I had a feeling that Amber grandfather is a Fatui Harbringer, he seen by his old pal in Qingce Village 'Skulking around' which is a very Fatui thing to do (or out of shame). There's a Habringer who have a Crying bird as symbol (Childe is whale), could mean someone who 'fly' (in this case gliding) but regrets so much that it saddens him ? Idk man he could find that the knights were kinda corrupt and go for the Fatui for some reason, since he is defecting to 'enemy forces'. and yeah in the manga Amber's grandfather office is use by those corrupt knight. If this the case, then it could be a great potential arc, and her training and powerup, it would be sick to see her meet Collei again and searching for Pyro God for powerup to 'save' her grandfather.

I arrange them into a narrative through creative writing to more effectively tell these stories in a way that’s more entertaining. I.e the stories as written have very little flow from one to the next, and aren’t inclusive of outside details that other sources like voice lines, ingame events, or the manga would tell you.

With all this lore about Amber's lore. She reminds me of Kiana. Let's hope that she keeps her smile and is not transforming into a god of the Void. With a new update, it's possible that we will meet with Amber's grandpa and understand the reason why he left Mondstadt. I bet it's something related with the Fatui, or regarding about his experience on Liuye or as you mentioned, the corruption behind the Knights.

I also suspect it’s the fatui. I kind of feel like his convoy may have been attacked as a result of a metal bird like that of Diluc’s convoy. He may have departed after realizing the similarities in the attacks to pursue new leads.

She is definitely far from useless! She always leads my party against the cryo regisvine and abyss mages since she is faster at knocking them down than Xiangling. As an appreciation of her abilities, I passed down to her Fischl's Compound Bow that I initially planned to feed to her Rust instead. 💕

People get Amber wrong. Amber is not Useless. a outrider, a glider-champion. And not a knight of favonius for Nothing? She is a video game character, not a useless anime/manga female character who cry's for help? Like Aqua (from konosuba) or Sakura? (From Naruto) if you want her strong? All you have to do is level up all her abilities and enhance her weapons. Her long range fully charged bow shot is much better than Fischl's electro shot. if somewanne is more Useless with bow damage? fischl is! And you can use the Baron bunny as a grenade. (come on? we all like the funny looking,dancing baron bunny!?) I know Amber is not as sexy as the most other ladys like: Lisa,Hu Tao, Rosaria,beidou or ganyu? That's fine. lets keep Amber at mid tier? And with personalty? She is nice and caring and likes to help. what's wrong with that? Alright? maybe she's not smart but she tries hard or a bad cook? (We have Xiangling for that.) But she is not that typical anime lady that makes food that would kill you?! (Like Shion from: That time I got reincarnated as a slime?) She is the most underratted character and waifu.

You know how in gacha games, characters will sometimes get alternate versions? I hope later in the story, Amber gets a 5* version representing her growth as an adventurer and as a person later in the story. Maybe even with a different weapon so as not to completely overlap with regular Amber.
